As the summer heats up, tomato season does too! Mediterranean and Italian cuisines, in particular, are deeply influenced by this vibrant, versatile ingredient, making it an essential staple in our dishes.

This week on Chef Nico’s special menu is The Panzenella! A salad rich is fresh cherry tomatoes from our in-house focaccia bread, a balsamic dressing paired with a pesto drizzle, fresh snow peas from Fort Vannoy Farms, mozzarella balls, and fresh basil accents.

Do you know The Vine does 99% of it’s food from scratch, in-house. Everything from our focaccia bread to our croutons, sauces, noodle specials, & even butchering a whole hog, grinding up a sausage stuffing mix, incasing it & smoking it- all in house!

“House smoked Italian sausage, on a bed of roasted carrots and beets. Garnished with spiced yogurt and toasted pistachio.

The sweetness of the beets and carrots balance the smoked flavor and spices in the sausage. The addition of the seasoned yogurt reflect the same spices in the sausage while adding brightness and acidity with the addition of mint and basil. Topping the dish with toasted pistachio complements the root vegetables while adding an interesting texture to the dish.”

Cocktail & soup; probably the best combo one could have! The perfect teaser to the weekend ahead, easy, simple and not intimidating. Oh & did I mention this soup is INSANELY INCREDIBLE!😋

You know when your out of ideas for a winter dinner but you have all these great veggies in the fridge and a few leftovers items too… then you throw together a soup because, welll… SOUP! It kinda turns into an experiment but it goes 1000% PERFECTLY & it’s the best soup you’ve ever created but also probably never going to recreate. THAT’S THIS SOUP!

It has a Thai Coconut lime kick.. balance of sweet & salty/sour! Seriously incredible!

Now for the cocktail of the weekend! The Emperoress - a grape skittle - Vodka/lime/triple sec/creme de Violette topped with frozen grapes. It’s adventurously-YUM!

At The Vine we love to eat healthy, so we cook that way. We offer many heart-healthy meals including steaks, seafood, pasta, salads, gourmet burgers, sandwiches, soups and more. We also offer many vegetarian and gluten free options. Our staff is well trained in accommodating your specific dietary needs! All of our house made sauces are gluten free, and many dishes can be made without dairy. Our pasta noodles are dairy free, egg free, soy free, and corn free. Simply substitute gluten free pasta for a fully gluten free meal -- it’s classic pastas with a twist!

We strive to provide an entirely GMO free menu and supply as many organic, local ingredients as possible- including hormone free chicken and grass fed beef when available. Have a question about where it comes from? Just ask! We’re dedicated to ensuring that you are receiving healthful ingredients in each delicious bite.
