This coming election will determine whether Religious Freedom continues in America. We don't have it under this present Administration, which gives priority to the LGBTQ agenda over every other issue, including a person's conscience and sincerely held religious beliefs. This is known a "Tyranny."

Tyranny is what the American colonists rebelled against. We don't have to take up arms against tyranny as they did, we just have to pray and get out and vote in November.

RELIGION AND POLITICS TO MIX
We have heard it said that "religion and politics to not mix." America's founders did hold this view, as clearly stated by George Washington in his Farewell Address where he admonished the new nation to cling to "religion and morality" which he said are "indispensable supports" for political property. By "religion" he meant Christianity and notice that he did not say Christianity should be "tolerated" but that it is "indispensable" for the life of the nation. Just like Christ is "indispensable" for individual life, so He is necessary for the life of a nation. The complete discussion is found on page 165 of my book posted below.

"Money is the root of all evil" is a phrase I have heard often repeated. However, the Bible says no such thing. The passage, I Timothy 6:10, literally reads, "For the LOVE OF MONEY, is a root for all kinds of evil." The passage is addressing greed. Money itself has no moral value. It is morally neutral. Whether it is a force for good or evil depends on who is controlling it. Money in the hands of a good person will be used for good. Money in the hands of a greedy, wicked person will be used for all kinds of evil. God is not against you having money; He is against money having you.

Those were the words I heard the Holy Spirit speak in my heart as I was sitting on the platform of a well-known ministry during the praise and worship. Unbeknownst to me there were, at that very moment, individuals on that platform who were secretly plotting to oust the leadership that had founded that ministry and led it, at great sacrifice, for more than fifty years. It was an attempted coup by arrogant Christians who believed they should be in charge of that ministry. The ouster failed but caused much hurt and painful separation. I now realize that “Come down off your thrones” was a timely word, not only for that situation, but for the church worldwide. The promise of a national healing in II Chronicles 7:4 begins with a call for God's people to "HUMBLE THEMSELVES." Not only the pope, but Protestant leaders, especially in the charismatic movement need to come down off their thrones. CHECK OUT MY LATEST BOOK FOR A POINTED DISCUSSION OF THIS THEME.

Cessationism on Trial - #7 - "The Role of Experience in this Argument" "The person with an experience is never at the mercy of the person with only an argument." This is a quote that Eddie begins with in this episode where he explains that although we do base our doctrine solely on experience, experience will inform and affirm our doctrine if we allow it.

WHO IS THE ROCK? PETER OR JESUS?
"And I say to you that you are Peter and on this Rock I will build My church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." - Matt. 16:18

Our Catholic brothers and sister say that the Rock is Peter and that the pope, being his successor, is the key to unity for today's church.
