The boy/girl challenge in 45th Street was too much fun! Lots of giggles and cheering going on while they were racing to wrap a friend!

We also discussed Luke 1:28-38. How do you think you would react if an angel suddenly appeared in front of you? Would you be scared or surprised? When the angel appeared to Mary, she was both of those things. But Gabriel's answer was simple, "Do not be afraid." The same is true for you. When you are scared or confused or unsure, you need to remember one big truth: God is with you. You can have peace, even when you're uncertain, because God is in control and has a plan. Ask God to help you remember that you are not alone, even when you feel sad, scared, surprised, or any other emotion you may feel. Read these verses as a family and discuss.

Hey Parents! Challenge your family to memorize Isaiah 9:6 in the month of December.

Print out the verse to hang up at home. Put a copy on your fridge, by your bed, taped on the seat backs of your vehicle, or even on the bathroom mirror. You can even make up a song and sing the verse!

All children in Preschool through 5th Grade are invited to participate in Hello Christmas concert on December 1st.

We had 1,200 sign up to serve, and we served at 33 different sites. We were able to meet local needs and connect to local organizations.

13,645 eggs were stuffed
25,920 meals were packed at Feed the Hunger that will go to Indonesia
9 different GCISD campuses were beautified
350 Christmas engagement bags were packed
500 food boxes were packed for 6 Stones
250 food boxes were distributed to the neighborhood
100 pounds of brisket served to area police and fire stations
40 young adults served at a 6 Stones house where the yard was cleared and landscaped, exterior painted, and a fence rebuilt

We already have people committed to serve some of these partners again. We are so grateful to each of you for serving and encouraging your groups to step up and serve!

We are collecting the items listed so we can put together Thanksgiving boxes for families during this holiday season. Our goal is to fill 500 boxes on Serve Day, October 22nd.

If you are able to donate any of these items, please bring them to 121 by Oct 15th. There will be a trough outside of the church office to collect the items. Thanks for all your help!!! . If you have any questions, please email [email protected]
