Join us this Sunday for powerful messages about faith and divine intervention. During the Traditional Services, Pastor Grant Palma will share a message about Elijah's challenge to the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel from 1 Kings 18:20-39. Witness Elijah's unwavering faith and God's miraculous response, reminding us of His unmatched power and presence in our lives. Come and be inspired by this timeless story of God's victory, and learn how it applies to us today.
James Lawrence, Director of Youth, will deliver the message in the Contemporary Service, which will focus on Back to School: New Year's Resolutions. We will take time to pray for our students and educators and distribute backpack tags.
See you this Sunday!
1 Kings 17:22-24
"The Lord heard Elijah’s cry, and the boy’s life returned to him, and he lived. Elijah picked up the child and carried him down from the room into the house. He gave him to his mother and said, “Look, your son is alive!”
Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord from your mouth is the truth.”
"We live in a very hard world,. Life is very stressful. Life only gets more stressful because of things happening around the globe, the capital, perhaps at our places of work. There's a lot of stress, and angst, and anxiety. And it's a little bit too easy to forget these wonderful stories that we teach kids. That we believe more as kids in Vacation School. We grow up and we trade that magic for a sad reality. If only we knew now what we knew then, but its not too late to remember the truth of God's wonderful and powerful ways. It's not too late to remember the truth of resurrection. That this is a real story...something that God wants to do now. The call for us is for us to be a part of this adventure."
