AT THE ANTIOCH PUBLIC LIBRARY

Kim, a Registered Nurse, and Stephanie, a Certified Application Counselor, will be there to meet with you one on one. They bring years of experience and a caring attitude to help residents who have questions or concerns about their health, access to care, benefit programs, and health insurance. Blood pressure screenings are available and it's all FREE!

AAHAA is pleased to partner with the Antioch Public Library District to bring these valuable services to our community.

Call for Art: Annual At Ease Exhibition 🌱

Brushwood invites artists in all media and of all levels with a US Military background (current servicemember, veteran, or their immediate family members or caregivers) to submit their work for consideration in our upcoming exhibition, “At Ease In Nature.”

In 2015, Brushwood Center began its At Ease initiative, offering programs for Veterans, Service Members and their families designed to empower their wellbeing through nature-based art, music, and photography workshops. The only program in the region offering a nature-based approach, At Ease helps build skills in creative expression and provides Veterans with access to mental health support. Through this exhibition, we will feature work created during our At Ease programs, as well as work inspired by experiences in nature from other members of this community.

Notification of Acceptance: October 2, 2024
Deadline for Delivery of Artworks: October 30, 2024
Exhibition Dates: November 3 – December 1, 2024

Thank you to everyone who completed LCCF's Leadership Development and Capacity Building Survey! As promised, with the completion of the survey, all respondents were entered into a raffle for a $250 microgrant. The survey closed on July 15th and the grant recipient was Mike Lynn from Most Blessed Trinity Parish!

LCCF staff is collecting and analyzing the data from the survey. We are in the process of creating a report that will be shared soon with the results and themes that came out of the survey. Everyone's feedback will be used to inform and prioritize the leadership development and capacity-building opportunities and programming LCCF builds out and offers to Lake County nonprofits in the future.

The City of Waukegan is a new grantee under the federal Thriving Communities Program. Part of this grant is a community matching fund that triples donations to eligible projects led by nonprofits and volunteers.

In partnership with the Thriving Communities Program, this new crowdfunding match program with https://www.ioby.org/ provides a one-on-one crowdfunding coach to teach you how to raise donations to fund your idea.
