FREE Medical Assistant Training Program Builds Our Workforce

CHP received a grant to launch a medical assistant training program. Participants complete a 26-week training program, emerging with a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant credential and a two-year job placement with CHP. Participants will complete clinical rotations across CHP’s medical offices, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship.

Cohorts are set to launch every six months through the end of 2026 to train and certify 15 new Medical Assistants over three years.

Mindful Movement & Meditation
September 24, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Led by Dr. Lisa Nelson and certified yoga therapist Mary Northey, this weekly group visit (via Zoom) is ideal for CHP patients of all ages and abilities who are looking for tools to help reduce stress and improve overall well-being. The group helps patients define and work toward personal health goals in a supportive environment, incorporating gentle movement, meditation, and relaxation techniques. It is ideal for patients working to improve blood pressure, anxiety, stress, bone health, balance, etc.
Most insurance plans cover this group medical visit.

CHP staff are joining the Elizabeth Freeman Center’s ‘Rise Together Walks’ around the Berkshires this week, to support prevention and awareness of domestic violence, trafficking and other forms of abuse. CHP honors the work of EFC, and here we are in Pittsfield!

On Friday, September 13, 6-8 PM, CHP Family Services and Berkshire Art Center present a fun, free evening for couples, friends, and individuals with workshops where adults and kids explore creative techniques for art-making.
