How long should families keep candy in the house after Halloween?

According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, allowing your kids to pick at Halloween candy promotes sugar sitting on the teeth for a longer period of time.
Let them dive into those candy bags for the day, then donate them to a local organization.
Please be safe and remember to brush your teeth in order to prevent cavities.
