The City of Green Bay Government got duped by the owners of a STRIP CLUB into shutting down one of the best bars in Green Bay! Apparently it's cheaper to have the City of Green Bay and the Green Bay Police Department do your dirty work than it is to keep paying your attorney's fees... well played...

According to Green Bay Municipal Court Judge Jon Gigot.. it doesn't matter if an underage person enters your bar using a WI ID that scans (via a $1500.00+ ID scanner as is required by the GBPD) and proves that she (if she wasn't claiming to be her sister) is 21... you, as a bar owner are still liable "because an underage person consumed alcohol in your bar"... using a fake ID...

Sadly, she admitted (under oath) to using her sister's ID, but the fact that she was underage and served is still the bar's fault...

How are bar owners, that are using ID scanners, supposed to know...? If the liability is still going to fall on the owner, what's the point of spending 1000s on scanners that don't protect the establishment? Not to mention the GBPD failed to cite the person who knowingly used the ID but cited the bar instead...

As a follow up to the previous post... let's all take a moment to understand that there are people that think they know what they're talking about, there are people that think they're glorified crime experts, there are people that think what happened is laughable, there are people who think what happened was justified... and then there are people who want and deserve to know the truth... not just what they saw in a 20 minute video or an out of context clip from the news or what they read on social media... From the people who followed Duel since the beginning, to the people who became regular customers and friends, all the way to the people who stood in line for hours every Friday and Saturday night... you deserve to know what happened, you deserve to know the story, you deserve to know the truth!
