I have encountered artists who worry too much about their work and don’t finish it .
I understand wanting the work to be perfect but the beauty of art is the originality and little “imperfections” that may occur during the process.
Complete the work and then put it out there. 👏
Real talk with artists is happening on threads.

Are you asking questions?
Unfortunately, most entrepreneurs are not. When you don’t ask questions and interview the person or company that is seeking to work with you you’ll be more likely to have bad experiences.

Saw this and thought oh, that’s funny but also sad and also true.
The fine arts are not a sustainable as a full time profession for the majority.
The ways to have a steady income from the arts comes from providing a service to others. Some of these include photography, videography, graphic design, illustration etc.
That doesn’t mean to loose all hope it means to look at it realistically.
You can still build a great practice but it takes time and also understanding the professional aspects of it.
That’s why I created the online courses to help artists understand how to level up their practice to get access to more opportunities.
Always do what’s best for you and what feeds your soul.

Ahh yes, the P Word, perfection.
So many creatives get locked into this one word which prevents them from finishing artwork, sharing it and exhibiting it.
Perfectionism can be counterproductive for creatives because it often leads to self-criticism, overthinking, and a fear of failure.
Embracing imperfections allows for greater creativity, experimentation, and innovation.
Remember, the beauty of art lies in its uniqueness and authenticity, so don’t be afraid to let your creativity flow without the pressure of perfection.
Just enjoy the journey and have fun creating!

Todays art quote.
Artists we are still in a unique time frame for us.
Be sure to do things to support your heart and soul.
Always be cautious of anyone saying “you should paint this, you should make this, you should you should….
unfortunately, these you should often come from those closest to us . It could be a family member or a friend or even someone you meet at an art event.
For whatever reason, they feel the need to tell the artist what to create.
Thank them for their advice and remember to always follow your heart in your passion as you are the artist and it needs to come from your heart whatever you make.
New podcast with special guest
We talk about how to balance your artist side with your entrepreneurial side.
Listen on apple or Spotify and be sure to subscribe so you know when a new episode releases.
Artists ask on social media all the time, how do I educate people to buy and appreciate the arts?
You don’t need to. You need to share your story and that comes in the form of your artist biography and statement.
Writing about yourself and your artwork is just as important as creating it.
Are you giving this area the same attention?
Need help understanding how and what to include? The online course “documents” is there for you abs goes over both of those and much more.
