Part of my journey in intimate portrait therapy has been the ability to exist in photos. It warms my heart to know that one day a photo like this will comfort my family in the future when I am no longer here to wipe their tears.
That’s why this work we do with you matters. So you can show 🆙 in other areas of your life confidently and with joy.
The next time you think, “oh I just can’t spend the money on myself,” I want you to think about the cost it will be if you’re family has very little memories of you to hold on to because you just couldn’t bare the sight of yourself and sit with it. This location is AMAZING. It comes with a hot tub, outdoor shower, multiple indoor showers and clawfoot tubs, vintage furniture and a modern kitchen, wrap around porch. You will not get to where you want to be doing the same s**t you’ve always done.
I was reminded THRICE in 24 hours the power behind women who come together.
1.) Being a leader, mentor or coach doesn’t mean you can’t ask the very people you lead to hold space for you. The second I communicated with the ladies of our recent 2023 BBP project that life was throwing me a lesson, and asked for the compassion and grace I needed it was granted. These women without even knowing my circumstances were already holding space and sending me supportive messages and comments.
2.) One of our existing members were having a hard time seeing possibility and we were able to help her shift her mindset back to goals and her vision for herself. And we offered support even if she changed her mind. She chose to stay the course.
3.) Another one of our existing members is going the a sudden life change that requires lots of energy and time to make mountains move and watching everyone flock to her side not only with words of encouragement but resources, connections and so much more. It makes one weep to see the power.
What I love about this project is that it combines the hard s**t that life throws at us to untangle it also includes the relaxation and fun of being not just a woman but a human taking the opportunity to practice being.
When I think of making change or growth especially with one self we need others in our corner who are parallel to us not just In front or behind us in experience. Those parallel relationships help us link arms and stand in unity as we create new pathways.
