Madison Fire was called for person who had fallen from a cliff at Fern Cliff on Friday. We know that it has been in the paper and on some other social media areas. We just wanted to share how proud we are of our County Fire Departments, EMS, Law Enforcement officers (County and DNR), Dispatchers and Air Evac. Most important how proud we are of our Township residents that helped in multiple ways from water to a field for landing zone.
The pictures shared are just some of the equipment and people involved. All pictures are after incident was done and things being wrapped up.
Madison Fire would like to thank Jonathan Newgent with JTN Services. Johnny took time out of his day to come out on a Sunday and bring parts and help fix one of our fire trucks. The parts needed are for the onboard charging system. They are parts that you cannot get at normal parts store. If not for JTN and Johnny our truck would have been down for a few more days. JTN and all the people involved are great. Look them up if you don’t know who they are. From lighting to lawnmowers. They are your go to.
Thanks again for all the help JTN and Johnny. We appreciate it.
Madison Fire would like to congratulate Firefighters Derrick Grimes and Wade Harper on passing Firefighter 1 class.

•1 Station Coverage for Greencastle Fire Department
You can expect Junes monthly run report the first part of July. Thank you Madison Township and stay safe.
It is not a big fancy training site like some. But for our small Volunteer Fire Department it will be good. Just time now for us to continue to build it bigger and better. Thanks to JAMRR Excavating LLC. For taking care of us and helping get this done. They drove all the way to Crane Naval Base to pick up donated containers. Awesome work. We recommend this company to do any work you have that they are capable of doing. Great customer service and did the job just like they said they would in the time they said they would.
Madison Fire is going to try to start once a month giving a list of calls we go on in that month. They will not have addresses or names. It will just have the nature of call, the time, and the date. This is the only way we can provide information to our taxpayers that your fire department is taking care of Madison Township. We know that sometimes things are in the paper and not all agencies are listed. So at times we get questions about why we were not on calls. Hopefully this will help with that.
Madison Fire is looking for someone to help us out. We will pay we don’t want it done for free. Just hoping some one will give us a little bit of a break. We have been awarded 3 - 20 foot shipping containers from Department of Natural Resources. They are at crane navel base. We are are going to use them to build a small training site on the fire department property to help with our skills and continuing training. We are not sure of exact date for pick up yet. DNR will be giving us a 3 day notice. Any help in making this happen would be great. Hopefully we can work something out with someone. Thanks you in advance
