“Green, and GOLD, and white, our colors stand forth fearlessly!” The first of week of the summer Olympics has us thinking of our Spartans past and present who have competed in many of those events. From current junior Rylee, who placed in the high hurdles at AAU Junior Nationals in North Carolina this summer, to a number of alums like Liz (Hartwig) Rea at Princeton University, Katy (Kroll) Miller at the University of Iowa, or Keilani Hamann at the University of Alabama, who were successful rowers at the collegiate level! These Spartans glorify God as they have used their gifts and abilities in competition!
Tell your friends! This month, Spartans will return to the hallways and classrooms at Martin Luther! We can't wait to welcome everyone back to campus. New year. New beginnings. New challenges. New achievements. One thing will remain the same, though...the love of God through Jesus Christ! What are YOU most excited about for this coming school year?

Our Spartan globetrotters have spent their final day in Thailand! We can all be so very thankful for the blessings of safe travels, not getting drowned by the rainy season (it really only rained at night or when they were on the bus), staying healthy, meeting so many amazing new people, and getting to explore God’s creation! Please pray for a safe trip home for this wonderful group of students and teachers.
For the last 15 years we have been blessed by Dr. Wayne Jensen's partnership in ministry at Martin Luther. Before our globetrotting Spartans left Chiang Mai, they toured a jade factory, a silver factory, and a silk factory - all things for which Thailand is famous! After flying back to Bangkok, they visited several temples, eaten a lot of great food, and went on a Long Boat ride, which included a tour of an Orchid farm. The photo of the Monitor Lizard is from the boat ride during which they saw several of them in the water!
What’s new with our Spartan globetrotters? At the elephant camp, they not only got to see elephants in their natural habitat, they got to chop sugar cane for their snack, make vitamin balls for them, and plant rice in the rice paddies. The four female elephants who live here no longer have to work laboriously or carry people on their backs. They just get to enjoy being elephants! It was an amazing day!
