Hey everyone had a good turn out Sat night, I have several folks asking about running on 12/30/23. Who all is in for a club race on this date? Let me know please.

Hey everyone, I have had some request to pick a least one or two weekends a month as definite race weekends. That way folks can travel from surrounding area and be assured to have a chance to race. I need some feed back on this please. Also would the Sat after Thanksgiving be a good weekend to plan a club race?

I would like to thank all the folks who took time to come to the 2023 Ovalmaster's. It was great to see everyone. I also would like to thank the race sponsors and the crew at GRCS. There seems to be some confusion on schedule for the Masters race:

Thursday doors open at 9 am for pit set up. Track opens at 12:00pm for practice. close at 10 pm.

Friday doors open at 8 AM. Track is open for practice till 9 pm. Shoot out to follow. track will close following shoot out.

Sat track opens at 8 am. open practice till 10 am. drivers meeting. qualifing to start by 11:00 am, 3 rounds. track to close by 11pm.

Sunday doors open at 8 am. open practice till 10 am. Mains to follow

Mfg championship classes for 22-23 Ovalmasters race will be, 21.5 trucks, 17.5 stock, 13.5 open and largest rubber tires class. Last few years champion has been determined by a small margin. Mfg get your cars and drivers lined up

17.5 SHOOT OUT AT THE MASTERS, We will be holding a 17.5 shoot out on Friday night in honor of our buddy Eddie Rowland, It will consist of 5 laps (by your self) fastest time wins the jack pot. Entry fee is 25.00 pot to be paid out 50% for 1st , 30% 2nd, and 20% for 3rd. First place is min of $ 150.00. Come on and have some fun. Open to everyone. Cars will have to be legal 17.5 and pass tech! More info to come.

I have been bombarded with calls and email about 2022 Ovalmaster's date. So I am proud to announce we are moving back to our original date of first weekend in Nov. Which will be Nov 4-6 2022. We moved away from this date for a couple of years trying to work with local dirt tracks. They now have all closed except for Graystone and they work well with us. I have had many racers comment that the Dec date is just too close to the Holidays for them to be able to attend. Thanks so much for all the racers and sponsors who have supported this race for the past 17 years. The last three years have had three different mfg win the MFG Championship. Make your plans now to make your team the number one MFG this year.

Spec 10

Chassis and parts
1. RJ Speed Spec 10 or TK Racing Godfather chassis only. No spec mod.
2. RJ Speed or TK Racing unmodified parts only this includes springs, steering blocks and axles. Turnbuckles allowed for steering links. Bearings are allowed.
3. No cutting of ANYparts to reduce weight. No drilling holes in any parts or body to reduce weight.
4. 92 tooth spur only and 46 or 47 tooth pinion only. (64 Pitch gears only.)
5. 4mm ride height minimum

Bodies

1. RJ Speed bomber body or McAllister 181 or 182 bomber body only.
2. No alterations or scraping to the body.

Tires

1. CRC rubber carpet tires only. #2314.
2. The only allowed modification of the tires is gluing the sidewall. Any and all other modifications to the tires is illegal.

Electronics
1. Hobby Wing Justock with booster or any 1S ESC in Blinky.
2. TOUR Fantom 17.5 Motor. All motors are to be checked and set by your local authorized Spec 10 ambassador or the motor can be shipped to Southern Indiana RC Speedway for proper tuning.
3. 7400 mah 1S LIPO battery only.

*SIRCS is the Spec 10 headquarters and any class rule changes must be approved by SIRCS Spec 10 Mafia.

*This class is made so all cars are kept as even as possible and every attempt will be made to keep it that way, Including rule changes if necessary!

One of our local racers heard a vicious rumor being circulated this weekend. Seems someone is telling that I have plans to close Greeneville RC Speedway after this years Ovalmasters. Where he is coming up with this I do not know. Our local attendance on a weekly basis has not been good during the Covid event. But I have never said or made plans to close. So if you hear this rumor please ignore and consider the source.

I would like to thank everyone who came out to the belated 2020 Ovalmasters race. Thirty days ago if you ask me I would have told you there is no way we could hold the 2020 Masters race. But as conditions got better and more and more racers called about the race we decided to give it a shot. Turn out was great for the times we are living in, and I not only want to say thanks but let you know how much I appreciate your support and friendship. Also a big Thanks to the Greeneville crew, Jeremey and D J Brooks, Johnny Broyles, Mikey McCall and Chuck Frazier on not only getting the track ready but your work at the event. WE could not hold a race like this with out GOOD tech crew, Thanks to Donnie Thigpin and Kristy Bell and Jared Barden on the mic. Congratulations to Hyperdrive on winning the mfg championship at the Ovalmasters, also Impact for their runner up finish. They were tied for points and we went to TQ’s for tie breaker and HD had more. Congratulations to both mfg. & racers. On a side note I made a mistake on posting points initially and awarded Ovalwerks 2nd place, but caught it. Sry for the mistake and appreciate Steve Nelson’s who accepted the award for ovalwerks understanding.
