Ryan, the Date Check Manager at Piggly Wiggly, takes on multiple important roles at his job. He returns carts from the parking lot, straightens the items on the shelves, and checks the expiration dates of the products. Ryan enjoys working independently, which he can do because of the accommodations that Broadscope provides. Gary and Rolanda are his job coaches and make sure that Ryan is able to be successful at his job.

Last week we practiced mindfulness outdoors. Thanks to the Urban Ecology Center we were able to use our different senses to connect with nature and ourselves while we spent a lovely afternoon outside. We ended the day enjoying a picnic together and making s'mores.
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The theme for 2024 is Access to Good Jobs for All. What does access to good jobs for all look like to you?

Earlier this month we had the annual picnic at Konkel Park. Everyone had a great time mingling and enjoying a meal together.
