🎬✨ Greenport students had an amazing time at our local movie theater. From watching Elemental to sharing laughs with friends, it was a day full of fun and excitement. Big thanks to the theater for hosting us and making this experience unforgettable! 🍿🎥

The cadets floated into NY Harbor this morning under the Verrazano Bridge and past the Statue of Liberty. The ship docked on either Pier 88 or 90 near the USS Intrepid.

Over the past 2 weeks, our entire school had the amazing experience of watching the Brooklyn Ballet perform an ensemble of dances ranging from classical ballet to street dance. The Ballet company also led master classes for the 4th & 7th grades where they learned different ballet movements, symbols and dances. The whole school was captivated by the talent of these world renowned dancers & have been inspired to express themselves in artistic ways! 🩰🎶

6th grade students had a healthy lunch today thanks to Slow Foods East End! The local farm to table organization led a nutrition lesson on sandwich making and smart food choices. The class got to try different ingredients like pesto, dill yogurt dip, pickled beets, hummus & chickpea salad and then layered them together with grilled chicken and fresh spinach to construct their own sandwiches. The best part is that we have most of the ingredients like beets, dill, basil & spinach growing in our school garden! Lots more healthy eating is on the way!

Due to the anticipated winter storm, school will be closed Tuesday, February 13. All classes and school-related activities are cancelled. The safety of our students and staff is our utmost priority, and we urge everyone to exercise caution. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as necessary. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
