It was such an honor doing this story. After taking a genocide class in college and visiting concentration camps in Germany and Poland, being able to share Shelly Wiener’s survival story is something I will truly appreciate forever. Hands down one of the best experiences as a reporter. The monument will be up in Greensboro’s LeBauer Park next year so make sure to go and visit it whenever you’re in town.
