As an act of international solidarity with the people of Palestine, we will not be open on Monday, December 11. We are participating in a global strike to demand an immediate ceasefire and to condemn the continued Israeli aggression and genocide against innocent civilians in in Gaza. Over the course of 65 days, Israel has targeted Gaza, which is an open-air prison, with a tremendous amount of explosives, resulting in the tragic death of more than 20,000 civilians, including over 9,000 children.
This brutal conflict has also left 50,000 civilians injured and has displaced 1.5 million people from their homes. Half of Gaza's infrastructure has been obliterated, rendering the area uninhabitable. To exacerbate the situation, the supply of essential resources such as food, water, and medical aid is being cut off by Israel.
The majority of Gaza's hospitals, having been targeted and bombed, are no longer functional, leaving injured civilians and those seeking refuge without any aid. Sacred places of worship, including mosques and churches, have not been spared from the bombings. The violence is ongoing, and we implore the international community to take immediate action to bring it to a halt.
