TEENS…we want to hear from you!!!
Healthy Guilford Coalition is looking for teens to join us for a Focus Group discussion on issues they face in the community. Topics will include living in Guilford County, substance misuse, and other issues facing our youth. These group conversations will take approximately one hour and will be conducted virtually. This information will be used as part of Healthy Guilford Coalition’s assessment and evaluation process to determine how we can best serve teens in Guilford County. All active participants will receive a $25.00 gift card for their time.
Names and addresses will not be connected to the data collection and will only be used for the purpose of registration and receiving a gift card.

March 17th – 23rd is National Poison Prevention Week.
It is our goal to bring awareness and provide poison prevention safety education on the safe storage and disposal of medications within the community. To fulfill this goal, Safe Kids Guilford, Healthy Guilford Coalition, The City of High Point, and the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office are partnering to provide an in-person Operation Medicine Drop in High Point on Saturday, March 23rd. So clean out those cabinets and come drop off your unused/expired medication this weekend. More information regarding this event can be found on the attached flyers. See you on Saturday!!!

Last Thursday how to Guilford had the opportunity to partner with Smith Active Adult Center hosted a Medicine take back event! We’ve collected over 100 pounds of medication! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported and dropped off medication! Special thank you to the Guilford County sheriff department!!!

Healthy Guilford Coalition was invited to My Little Taste Buds Breaking Ground Garden event this past Saturday,September 23,2023. We assisted in providing the community with resources regarding prescription medication, medication lockboxes, and Deterra!
Yesterday, Healthy Guilford had the opportunity to assist in hosting a National Overdose Awareness Day event. It was such a rewarding, feeling to bring awareness to those who tragically lost their lives to drugs, and to bring awareness that this is a battle. We all continue to fight as a community.💜
