As owners of our small business MJs for over 13 years now my husband Chef Tad and myself intentionally go out to support other small businesses weekly and try to go to breakfast or lunch often to get time together too (without our kids around 😂).

Chef Tad loves to plan these day dates for me so much and we are going to share with you who we choose to support! Also we would love for you to comment below and give us suggestions on where to go next! We want our city and surrounding areas to always have small local businesses and not chains taking over, so we only eat at local businesses as often as we are able to.

☀️ This morning we went to our sweet friends, Michael and Stephanie’s restaurant in the Reidsville/Stokesdale/Summerfield area! Their restaurant serves some of the best comfort food we’ve had! It was AMAZING and such a treat to eat! I kept stealing bites of Chef Tad’s biscuit and gravy because it’s the best I’ve had! Today and tomorrow they are offering gluten free biscuits too, so take advantage if you need to eat gluten free and go tomorrow! Also the way they transformed this restaurant into such a beautiful inviting space is inspiring!
Right now they are open on Fridays and Saturdays and have delicious to go items in their market area too!
