I have so much love for them and that place, I’ve been given so much. My last cigarette, smoked January 3 at like 11:15pm. I walked away, cold turkey, from a 22 year habit. Before I sat anything else about that, I must make a LOUD and RESOUNDING THANK YOU!!!! to my coworkers, clients, family and friends that had to deal with my weepy, insane, unstable and downright MEAN ass bu****it last week. I’m finally feeling human again. I mean, ni****ne dependency is so common and I really thought it was just a willpower issue. Jeeze Louise. That suuuuuucked.

Maura was in town! She came to see me on the same street where I met her (💕Tate street) and I made a waterfall for her.

The challenge: use positive and negative space to create a peppery dotwork mountain landscape, include her most beloved trail buddy, Quita. Omg tho we love the result ❤️

Because we love some angler fish. These babies are all female, the male is very small and looks kinda like a normal fish. If he decides to mate, she absorbs him into herself. Freakin crazy, right? I love this thanks Nikki.

I really love it when people get animal portraits, but especially when they get the picture of their fur baby that makes us chuckle a little bit.

This piece is called “no greater love” and I finished it today. And I’m proud of myself. I mean the painting is good but I’m proud of myself. I started this late in November of 2021 when my Ruby, my sweet baby, was diagnosed and I found out she was dying. I started it because I didn’t know what to do with my hands, just smearing paint around when I had free moments. Needing stillness, with her sleeping soundly there, pressed up against my leg. She left us in march 2022 and it just sat, untouched and unfinished until Sunday, I walked into my art space and said to myself “think I am ready to do this now.” So I did it. Added the finishing touches this evening. It’s something I can carry now, and I’m proud of that. I’m the luckiest.
