We are SO proud to recognize Ms. Emily Carpenter, a recent "graduate," who is moving onto a new position after a one year work experience in our Monroeville Mall store! 🎉

During her time with us, Emily has gained a wealth of confidence in her customer service skills and abilities. At Movemints, she will have the opportunity to supervise and be a role model for other team members doing work experiences through programs like the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR). In addition to packaging tasks and mentoring others, she's also responsible for inventory management and quality control. Both her old and new teams agree that Emily is dedicated, reliable, and highly motivated.

They are buttery and soft on the inside with a crispy outside. No need for syrup with this sweet crust. They are more like a pastry!

What a day! Thank you to those who stopped in today to pick up their $5 box of chocolates 🍫 and commemorate our . So many people have been a part of the story. Upon reflecting about where we were, where we are, and where we’re going, we wanted to share some of our successes with you:

• We've provided over 20,000 hours of job coaching and career mentorship in SpectroDolce Confectionery locations.
• Over the past five years, we've helped over two dozen associates gain workplace experience on their journey to accomplishing their career goals. Some different fields include, but are not limited to manufacturing, warehousing, retail, operations/quality control, culinary/food service, animal care/grooming
• We have placed individuals at Tropical Smoothie, Filtech, Channel Craft, Community Market … and yes, a few have stayed with us at a SpectroDolce location!
• We've partnered with several Western Pennsylvania area school districts to provide tours and hands-on workplace experiences for students.
• Our team has served over 50,000 (what?!) ice cream cones 🍦, milkshakes 🥤, sundaes 🍨, and over 10,000 waffles 🧇.

We have built an amazing team, which just grew exponentially in the last month as SpectroDolce is now a part of the Achieving True Self, Inc. family of programs. Additionally, the Autism Employment Network is now an ATS strategic partner.

We at SpectroDolce want to thank everyone who has shopped with us, worked with us, worked for us, donated to us, shared our stories, and connected us to those in need of the services we offer. Although the work to support individuals to obtain and maintain competitive and integrated employment continues all year round, NDEAM presents an opportunity for us all to recognize, celebrate, and confirm our commitment to ensuring individuals with disabilities have access to employment opportunities.
