If you want to excel and be someone vastly different from the rest of society, it will require you to come out of a societal mindset.

After having spent years in both the Marine Corps and Army, then working overseas as a security contractor at some of the nastiest places in the GWOT, I can say I’ve once been a licensed and authorized dealer in extreme profanity. 😆

That probably shocks people who know me now, and who train at PACS, because we have a no profanity rule which is actively maintained inside the academy.

Why do we uphold that standard, when virtually all of American society doesn’t (especially in the combat sports culture)?

Long story short is, words have power.
Once you realize what negative speech is and what it empowers, you’ll desire to shut off that faucet.
Profanity never uplifts, it only degrades like some kind of mildly acidic substance.

Find yourself in a space where no foul language is being echoed within, and it slowly begins to positively affect your thinking and emotions.
The explanation of why is complex but the results are not, so we focus on the latter.

This way of being, may not resonate with everyone, but then again the training is only a few hours a week so many people learn to manage it 😉
