Today is grand-reopening day for The Shoppes off Trade, which now has new owners. The Pouch-Pourri display is overflowing with gifts for pups and the people who love them. Does your mom have a pampered pet? We have lots of things that would make a great gift for her (and her pooch) on Mother’s Day.

The Shoppes off Trade features handmade items from dozens of artisans. Avoid the raindrops and stop into see what treasures you can find.

Doggie stocking stuffer idea #4: delicious 3-ingredient dog treats. These treats are a hit with any of the canines that have tasted them. (One very smart little dog named Einstein--naturally--ate one right down and came back to ask for another.) Both varieties contain peanut butter and oatmeal. The third ingredient in one is pumpkin. The third ingredient in the other is banana.

These are single 4-inch bones or small packages of smaller bones or tiny tidbits suitable for training treats. Single bones are $2. Multi-treat packages are $2.50.

Just a reminder to come and enjoy a pancake breakfast, do some Christmas shopping, and help the senior class of Crawford Christian Academy. Breakfast starts at 8:00. The Craft Fair runs from 9:00-2:00. Stop by and find some dog themed items for you and your favorite pooch. A portion of each craft item sold goes to the senior class.

Pooch-Pourri's next event is a local one. Come out and visit the table to see a wide variety of items just in time for celebrating with your favorite pup or giving to a dog-loving friend or family member.

Doggie stocking stuffer idea #3 (Do you see a trend here?) This paw balm contains beeswax and lots of other quality ingredients that will sooth sore paws. $8 each.

Stocking stuffer #2 for your favorite pooch (or pooches): bath bombs. These fizz really well, smell good, and contain soothing oatmeal. Large bombs are $2.50. A 3-pack of small bombs costs $2.75.

Are you looking for stocking stuffers for your favorite pooch? We have some great ideas. How about some handmade goat milk bar soap with essential oils that sooth the skin and repel insects? The soap smells great, is easy to use and cleans well. Paw print bars are small ( .8 oz) and cost $1.50. Large bars weigh 3.8-4.0 ounces and cost $6.

These little handmade clothesline baskets make a great gift for dog lovers who are also fans of college football (or any sport). Purchase them separately, or fill them with soap, treats, a bandanna, etc. to give to your favorite Clemson, South Carolina or Alabama fan.

The big day is here. Makers Market at Bob Jones University. After weeks of preparation and planning, our table is set and ready to go. Thanks to all who have helped, prayed for and encouraged us. Come by and see our creations for canines.

"Handcrafted goods for delighted dogs and their human friends."That's what Pooch-Pourri is all about. Today's samples of items for the Makers' Market at Bob Jones University on October 7 focus on those human friends. Each pair of earrings includes something that has been recycled--from aluminum cans for the metal beads and cut outs, to paper beads created from colorful pages. And, of course, every pair has a dog theme. Stop by our table and check these out on October 7 at the Makers' Market.

While Sandy has been making t-shirt yarn and creating dog toys for the Makers' Market at Bob Jones University on October 7, I have been putting my sewing machine to work and creating two styles of dog bandanas. Both are double-sided. The over-the collar style comes in sizes XS, S, M, and L-XL. The snap-on type comes in sizes XS, S. M, LG, and XL. My friendly bear has a neck measurement of 15 1/2" (very important to know when purchasing bandanas) and is wearing a Small over-the-collar bandana in the first photos and a size Medium snap-on type in the next two. We hope to see lots of dog lovers at BJU.

The annual Makers Market at BJU will be held on October 7th from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Cindy and I (and our mom) have been busy creating some great gifts for you and your dogs. We'll be posting sneak peeks of some of the items available at the Pooch-Pourri booth. Plan to stop by.

Hello, Facebook friends! Cindy and I want you to know about our new venture. We're launching a line of handcrafted goods that will, we hope, delight both you and your pooch. For your dog, we offer treat pouches, bandanas, toys, handmade soap, paw balm and bath bombs. For you, devoted dog friend, we have a line of jewelry--including earrings and bracelets--and Christmas ornaments. Our signature gift is a handmade clothesline basket filled with select items and gift wrapped ready to be presented to your favorite dog or a special dog lover.

Many of our products are made from repurposed items; we're trying to be easy on the environment while we help you pamper your pet.

All of our personal care items are made with natural ingredients such as honey, beeswax, and goat milk. You won't find artificial ingredients, colors, or preservatives in any of them.

Right now, our supplies are limited. We're just nicely getting started, but we wanted you all to be the first to know.
