I wonder how many children will get baby dolls for Christmas this year? I LOVED getting a new baby doll when I was a child. I loved picking them out for our daughter when she was young. I still love them. I will be the one in the nursing home holding baby dolls for sure. What was your favorite toy/gift you received when you were little?

Wishing you a very Mickey Christmas!

I remember the magical feeling of standing on my Nanny and Papa’s front porch of their mill house looking into the cold sky with my siblings and cousins. Why? Because SANTA CLAUS WAS COMING TO TOWN!! We were hoping for a glimpse of Rudolph’s red nose! Such good memories.

The bling I posted yesterday got gone fast! These are available if you don’t want traditional red and green Christmas earrings!

If you missed the last STOP & SHOP, no worries! You can stop by Saturday and get some things checked off your list! Shopping made easy!

“Restorer” We have been restored. This restoration and peace reminds us of Psalm 23. We may walk through many valleys and find ourselves in dark places, but without those experiences, we can’t appreciate the glimpses of sun breaking through the clouds. Christ is the Promise who has come to restore us to a right relationship with the Father. He will restore our joy. John 10:7-10, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Jesus is our protector, our savior, our gate. He would willingly lay His life down to protect His sheep. In the gate, there are two crosses on each side reminding us of the thieves on the cross. Jesus came that all may have life. We must accept and believe just as one criminal on the cross did in his last moments. The shape of the gate aiso reminds us of the entrance of the tomb where Jesus Christ arose after 3 days declaring victory! The star guides the way for the shepherds and the magi. Should we not shine so bright as to guide a lost and dying world, pointing them only to Jesus, our Restorer? The Christmas Story is not this neatly-packaged cute story that we play out once a year. It is a story we must live out daily. Our Restorer has come! We must live it. We must tell it. Available at upliftingbyamanda.com

“Hope is dawning” Stormy darkness against the story of hope.
