I got to create this alcohol ink painting for a super sweet couple getting married in just a few weeks! They are big supporters of my art, so I wanted to do something special for them and their home that matches their decor. Congratulations Matthew & Amanda! I am SO GLAD March is here! I love all of the new life that starts popping up- trees bud, grasses turn green, flowers bloom, and the birds start whistling. Our Creator shows out big time in spring!

I actually created something for myself this weekend. I wanted a pair of earrings to match my dress for my niece’s wedding in a few weeks. Well, I couldn’t stop with just one. The teardrops are mine but the others are available to you!

I get the question about the weight of these earrings a lot. No worries - they are super lightweight!!

As promised! Introducing “The Wilma Collection”. My Gran- I have been thinking a lot about her lately. She has dementia and is in a nice assisted living near her children. I don’t get to visit her as often as I would like to, but I have many great memories with her. This collection reminds me of something she would like… but, of course they would have to be clip-ons! 😉 😂 You can find these and other styles in this collection in my store at upliftingbyamanda.com. The last picture is an alcohol ink painting I created using the inks that I had used to color the translucent clay in the earrings.

I remember when my kids were in elementary school chorus. They had the best chorus teacher ! We loved going and hearing them sing - honestly some of my most treasured memories. They sang lots of great oldie goldies, including “All you Need Is Love, Love, Love” by the Beatles. As February rolls around, I am reminded of this tune.

I have thought a lot today of how this year has been kind to me, has challenged me, has stretched me, has frustrated me, and has encouraged me. I am counting all of my blessings as we head into the new year. I thank my creator God for every good gift as well as every trial. I thank Him for all of you who have encouraged me and supported this passion I have to make and create. I plan to keep creating for the Creator in 2024.
