Today feels like the day before we opened…we’re nervous, we’re excited, we’re somehow covered in a little bit of paint, anxious and simultaneously so certain that there is no better experience than living your dream with your best friend and your favorite community.

There’s nothing written in the caption box yet and I’ve already got tears filling my eyes. Thinking about how much Nikki pours, not just into daydrinkers, but how much of herself she pours into every single thing she does is enough to take me out emotionally. There is nothing she doesn’t give her all to. If you’ve been following the story of daydrinkers then you’ll know she’s lived one million lives to get where she is today and she’s done so with unmatchable grace, transparency and silly-goofball-ness. Ok here’s the deal. We’re open regular hours this Memorial Day UNLESS it gets sunny and none of you show up in which case I’m gonna close and Fuller and I are going to soak up the sun alongside you….ill keep you posted but for now regular hours. A message to our seniors who are graduating this week 🎓🎓, we’re ridiculously proud and excited for you. We’ve watched you study a lot (a lot a lot) at the shop and we know you’re definitely feeling the relief BUT you may be also feeling a new type of pressure. Pressure to know what’s next, to know what you want, to know the right choice. If we could tell you anything, we’d tell you that pretending like you know the answers to any of those questions is ✨pointless ✨
we’re living our dream lives in our dream careers rn but we’d NEVER have known when we graduated that it would have taken us 56 billion random jobs and moves to get here.
No choice is permanent; you can pivot at any time. The secret is knowing everyone around you who seem like they have it all together is just winging it 🤷🏻‍♀️
