Communion is a celebration of the restoring work of Jesus. This is why we remember. On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, and said, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. 1 Cor. 11:23-26

The blood of Jesus cries for mercy. Do you believe it?

Keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. - Heb 12:2-3

What does it mean to have saving faith?

Every opportunity we repent of our sins is an opportunity to draw near to God. #Repentance #DrawNearToGod #GodsForgiveness

God has come to us and said, “I know you’ve broken my covenant. I know you can’t provide what is required. I’ll enter a covenant with you via my own blood. This blood, this cross is what happens to me because you’ve broken the conditions of the covenant.” And so it is that we have a covenant that in-and-of itself fully and completely and for all time supplies the penalty for those who can’t keep it. And when our God makes this covenant with us, it does something to us. For those of us whose hearts are transformed by Jesus, his Holy Spirit takes up residence in us and begins to change our hearts and minds. Through this New Covenant, the miraculous happens according to verses 16 and 17: “I will put my laws on their hearts and write them on their minds, and I will never again remember their sins and their lawless acts.” In the great covenant, the great agreement that God cuts with us in the blood of Jesus, we forgetful humans will constantly be reminded of God’s commands, and our omniscient God will constantly forget our transgressions of the same. Is there any greater hope, is there any greater security, is there any greater news than is found in the blood of Jesus Christ?

You know what time it is. ☃️🌟🕯️ See you all on Friday! 🎶

Why have hope when high-profile leaders of God's people spiritually abuse those under their care? God's judgment of the sons of Eli and preparation of Samuel (1 Samuel 2) give us hope that God will address the evil and establish Jesus as the pure and loving leader we crave.
