As we partake in Holy Communion today, remember that communion is not an obligation; but a celebration!!!!! We should give thanks during this service as we acknowledge the sacrifice. We celebrate the Gospel, that Jesus’ body was broken on our behalf so that WE can be fixed!!!

I came across this reading this morning. According to NIV( 2024),It summed up Paul’s challenge in 3 words.

1. Awaken.
He tells us to wake up! The night is almost gone. Now is the time to get up and act! Today matters.

2. Abandon.
He tells us to lay aside the undisciplined patterns of the flesh, and he even cites
examples!

3. Adorn.
Finally, he tells us to “put on” Christ. We know he’s inside you; now adorn yourself with him.

Hebrew 10:24 says; And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

St Mark will be hosting their Annual Singles Symposium on Saturday, October 5th! Their theme this year is ‘Pursuing Healthy Relationships,’ and there will be breakout sessions that will show us how to pursue Godly relationships that are spiritually healthy for our lives. This ministry event is open to all Young Adults and Single Adults of all ages who have never been married, who are single parents, who are divorced, and who are widowed.
