Crick Family Farm
Carrying on our family farm heritage, we offer a dairy herd share program & pasture-raised meats.
So thankful for this cup of beauty from Rooti Patooti I finally got to pick up. 💐 Love her little roadside stand! Got to pick them up with my beautiful niece and surprise my sis in law with them!! 🥰
I finally found something I am good at growing, and I mean REALLY good! With incredible ease and really no work at all I can grow entire fields of this plant! I am so good at growing them I am considering changing the name of our farm to Thistle Ridge Ranch! Unfortunately it also happens to be the biggest nuisance plant on our farm.
Beautiful sunset tonight.
Raw milk is dangerous, but not for the reasons you think! 😆
Thanks for being a top engager and making it on to my weekly engagement list! 🎉 Dana Shutt, Kimberly Smith, Michael Dodds
Happy Sunday!
Can you spot the dog that thinks it is a sheep?
I messed up, but thankfully I didn't have to pay for it! I have a gate that doesn't always latch properly if it is closed hard, as you can see in the video. I slammed it shut last night and paid no attention to it. This morning as I am feeding the animals this is what I found! I loved these "wild" mustangs a little more this morning!
She likes blackberries!
Please return form to round file next to desk, thank you.
And the added notation that this doesn’t pertain to all vegans. Some are very nice and friendly because they don’t care what others choose to eat.
One of the perks of country life is the beautiful sunsets!
We got a little surprise lamb!
This is great! I thought it was a doll at first but it's actually a monkey riding a dog! 😂
Excited about our fresh honey from Little Clifty Homestead !
We only have thighs, wings, and soup bones left!
I'm SO excited to be teaching in our homeschool co-op this year!! Come join us!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I'm afraid we've created a couple of horse crazy girls that never think a ride is long enough!
I don't post very often, but this has been on my mind lately. One of the most common questions people ask me is, “How many kids do you have?” When I tell them I have five kids I am usually met with a very common reaction. “Five!? Well, bless your heart! I don’t know how you do that.” “Five! You do know what causes that, right?” And, by far the most popular, “You guys need a TV!” Most people aren’t really trying to be rude. They are genuinely surprised that someone in this day and age would still want to have a large family. And I get it. From their perspective I am missing out on so many things. We don’t get to go on vacations as often, we don’t get to eat at restaurants very often, we use hand-me-down clothes, our newest vehicle is 8 years old, and my truck is 22 years old. But those things pale in comparison to the blessings we have enjoyed! I remember when we had our first son. I remember holding him and thinking, “how could I love any other child as much as I love you?” It seemed as if it would not be fair to have another kid because I could not possibly love them as much as I loved him. Then our second came along. Much to my surprise, my love was not divided, it was multiplied. Still, that thought echoed in my head. “If we have another I don’t know if I could love them as much as I love these two.” Then, when our third came along my love was multiplied again. Then it multiplied a fourth and fifth time. Often times I just sit in amazement, along with Joanna, watching the kids playing and the life we have. I get tears in my eyes and an overwhelming sense of joy!
So to all of the people that feel sorry for me when I tell them how many kids I have, don’t feel sorry for me! My love for my family has multiplied so many times that I feel like it should be against the law to have this much love. I wouldn’t trade it for all the possessions in the world! The only thing I might want is to... maybe….multiply it one more time! 😉
Look what I found this morning!
We have a few openings left!

A week ago from yesterday we said goodbye to our amazing Mustangs, Ginger and Storm. It was such a bittersweet day! 💗 Curtis had put so many hours into training these horses... Every morning and evening for 65 days! I can't tell you how proud I am of him and of all his hard work and dedication! 🎉 So excited for their new owner as he begins a new adventure with his beautiful horses. Happy trails, sir! 🐎🐎
Jonathan is wanting to upgrade from his pony so he is up for discussion. He is an 18 year old Hackney cross gelding. He stands about 48 inches tall. He is broke to ride and supposedly drive (I never tried). He can be a little bit reactive and stubborn so he is not for a beginner. PM me for more details. Located in Rosewood, KY
It was a late one but I got the sixth ride on Storm and his first time outside the corral also! On his second ride he bucked me off. And the last ride he tried to start bucking whenever he went into a canter, but it was more mild. I was able to keep with it and he continued on without bucking any more. Today he went into a canter without bucking at all! Hopefully he is done with it!
First ride outside the corral! 5th ride overall! We stopped for a snack. So far so good!
