The Q***r Arts Initiative and Furman University are hosting Evelyn Berry, poet & author of “Grief Slut”, along with other local q***r poets at Modal on Friday evening for a special Poetry Reading experience! Omni will be popping-up to serve incredible Tteokbokki, Onigiri, and Taiyaki. Grab some great food and listen to some talented q***r community members for an evening of fun.

In order to provide the fastest and most efficient experience, we are taking pre-orders for meals to prepare the correct amount of food and make sure y’all have time to enjoy dinner before the readings. Pick-up for food will start at 6pm and readings will begin at 7PM and conclude at 9PM.

MENU OPTIONS:

Tteokbokki is rice cakes (imagine short, thick, chewy pasta) in a Korean red pepper sauce. We use Mild gochujang (pepper paste), spice is 4 out of 10. (Vegan and Gluten Free)

Onigiri are rice balls in a triangle shape, wrapped in seaweed. (Gluten Free, please reach out to if you require vegan onigiri)

Taiyaki are waffles in a fish shape. Traditionally made with red bean paste but Take Care () will be making this for us with Tamarind. (If you are V or GF we can sub this for more of a savory item, please reach out to )
