It's Monday everybody! Final countdown is here! Only 3 days left until we welcome you all to A Lowcountry Evening event! You might be thinking, what is the dress code? Dress code is business casual and the event will be in our outside area! We will have heaters spread out, but we recommend bringing a jacket and wearing comfortable shoes if you are planning on walking around! Happy Sunday! How are you spending your Sunday afternoon? Here at the Children's Museum we are gaining our forces for a week of preparation for our fundraiser, A Lowcountry Evening! In 10 years of history of the Children's Museum, we are so grateful for the support of this community in the Upstate. Without our families and all individuals who believe and support the future of our children, we wouldn't be here! Tombolla Wall gift openings are one of our favorite parts of A Lowcoutry Evening event! Our guests get to open incredible gifts from local businesses and their surprised excited expressions are priceless! This year Tombolla Wall packages will include everything for sports fans to fitness classes, restaurants, day trips to nearby cities, even horseback riding!

Some of you may not know, but Low Country Boil was South Carolina's answer to the New England Clambake and the Louisiana Seafood Boil - a one-pot feast made with regional staples. South Carolina historian Gerhand Speiler attributes the dish to local shrimpers, who created a filling meal with ingredients they had around - shrimp, crawfish, oysters enjoyed with some South Carolina hot sauce! We are honoring Low Country Boil's tradition in our state here at the Children's Museum and can't wait to taste some delicious food with you all!
