Great teachers, leaders, and salespeople ask great questions. Questions engage a person’s mind and good questions help cut through the noise.
Maybe you ask a prospect why they agreed to look at a presentation to begin with. What were they looking for? This opens an authentic dialogue that can help move them closer to a decision.
Here’s a fantastic question for a team member who says they are having a hard time “getting people”. First, pause for dramatic effect (act like you’re thinking), then say “Let me ask you this, how many people did you show the presentation to in the last week?”. If they squirm or don’t really know, it usually means none. That’s where you start. If they won’t take action, they haven’t earned your time.
A force in motion tends to stay in motion. When momentum shows up it’s a wonderful thing.
The best momentum tip I can give you is to create an atmosphere conducive to creating momentum. That atmosphere is a healthy, drama free, growing organization.
Get into the habits needed to grow your business and at some point you’ll hit the tipping point. When that happens, the speed and velocity of your business growth will increase exponentially as momentum takes over.
As long as you continue to do the basics (prospecting and sponsoring), you will add fuel to the fire and keep momentum going for a long time.
This is huge! This is the one thing that will determine your results.
You don’t have direct control over results and outcomes. You can’t dictate who becomes a distributor or customer. You can’t control what others do once they are involved.
But you do have complete control of your own personal activity. If you focus on activity, the results and outcomes will take care of themselves. But if you focus on results and constantly look at them, you’ll be frustrated.
Focus on monitoring and being consistent with your activity, which leads me to the next tip which will explain what activity you should be focusing on.
Network marketing success, (like success in any other industry), requires you to build yourself up and develop the traits necessary for success.
This business is as much about skills and leadership than your sponsor probably led you believe.
For you to be successful, there are certain traits you must develop and keep developing or you won’t see any sustainable growth or success in your network marketing business.
Get ready for rejection. It can’t be avoided (if you want ). It’s nothing to be feared but you definitely want to prepare your mind for it.
If you plan to build a significant network marketing business, rejection is a door you’ll need to boldly walk through multiple times.
Low risk, low reward. High risk, high reward. You can’t get a yes without asking a question that could be answered with a no.
The good news is that it’s a marathon. As long as you don’t quit taking action, you can get to the finish line.
However, if you’re not mentally prepared for people to tell you no, the first few might scare you off for good.
It comes with the package. Just like you can’t get the thrill of skydiving without actually jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, you can’t have success in without going through the rejection grind.
The fastest way to help a customer make a decision about one of your products is to ask questions and find out how you can best address their needs.
Likewise for recruiting, find their why. Why are they looking to make additional income, why do they want to work from home. Once you find the need you can help them make their decision.
If you plan to build a business quickly (or even slowly), you must get crystal clear on what you want to achieve and what it will take to get there?
What rank do you want to reach and how fast? What are your ? What income level do you want to be at and how fast do you want to get there?
high performers constantly seek clarity. It’s not something they do once a month or once a year. You need to constantly clarify your vision.
Many MLM sponsors will have you focus on recruiting new business builders; however, your income, in legitimate MLM, comes from the sales of products or services.
Further, customers who love the products or services can be more easily converted into new business builders.
Just like any other business (home-based or otherwise), getting the word out about your product or service can benefit your target market is the key to generating new customers and recruits.
Some ideas include sharing a product sample, inviting a neighbor to host a product party, or starting a website or social media account.
If you want people to join you in building a network marketing dynasty, become an expert in everything network marketing. Reading this is a good first step, but all learning shouldn’t be about how to build.
Some of your learning should focus on just getting a better grasp of network marketing as an industry.
If you can have an authentic conversation with somebody about why network marketing is a better business model than the other options out there, you have a better chance of bringing them onto your team and retaining them once they enroll.
If your child’s teacher couldn’t explain to you how students learn, you wouldn’t have much faith in them as a teacher would you?
The same is true of those you recruit (or try to recruit) to your team. If you can’t talk intelligently about the industry, how serious do you think people will take you?… Not that serious.
I learnt how to use marketing systems to grow my business, I taught my team the same thing.
This is how you can grow your team to over thousands of members in a short space of time.
Something that works for you and is so easy to replicate can help other struggling team members.
When you introduce these systems into your team it is a win-win.
It helps the team member build their team quicker, make more product sales and puts money in everyone’s pocket.
I still use this strategy every day and encourage anyone looking to build a solid foundation, to find a strategy that works for you and then share it with your teams.
They will then share it in their own teams and so on and so on.
Network Marketing Tip... Be friendly and approachable wherever you go. Network marketing is all about networking.
You never who you are going to run into that could become your next big team leader or recruiting machine.
Never prejudge anyone.
So, the friendlier you are and the more approachable you are the better chance you have on running into that person that takes your team to the next level.
This MLM tip is a powerful one!
There are so many successful people in various MLM companies.
Your MLM mentor may not be in your company.
Yes, it’s OK to learn from people who are not part of your business.
Here’s the thing… in some network marketing companies many of the top leaders simply may not resonate with you.
So find a successful MLM leaders in another company that is a better fit for you to learn from.
You've heard it a million times in your life and Network Marketing is no different.
You "MUST" lead by example. How can you expect your team to do something that you yourself are not willing to do?
You want your team to do something?... Do it first and lead by example!
Jim Rohn believed that to find success, we must learn to discipline our disappointment.
The path to success in this business and in life is not about avoiding disappointment, but it’s learning to take it in stride, learning to overcome challenges, learning to see the positives and separate yourself from the actions and choices of others.
You simply cannot take disappointment personally.
Now, if you are making radical errors, that’s a different story.
But, in the normal course of events, your prospect’s response has very little to do with you.
It does not matter your position, or how many skills you have, there will still be those times when nothing seems to work right.
That’s just the way it is. You don’t need to be perfect. No one is.
What type of person do you want to be?
If you choose to always see your glass half empty your life will forever feel empty.
If you choose to begin to see it as half full, then your “glass” and life will overflow!
It’s all up to you and where you choose to focus your thoughts. Believe you can do it and you will.
You may be asking yourself, why would I want to brand myself instead of the network marketing company I am involved with?
In short, people follow people, not their opportunities.
Your upline is probably telling you to slap the company logo on everything you post or write about so that you can gain instant credibility since there is a history attached to that brand. Right?
Well, let’s think about that for a minute.
When you are recruiting people with a focus on the credibility of the company, what prevents that person from working with another rep down the line?
The company doesn’t care because they are still benefiting. When you promote the company, the only one benefiting is that company.
At the end of the day, you want yourself to succeed, not just the company you are working for.
This is why you want the focus of the branding to be YOU.
Get in that spotlight. Make your leads connect with YOU. Make them be dying to work with YOU.
When you have a following of people who look up to you, you will always be successful.
I see too many people posting their product and company name on their social media.
You see when someone sees your post they will go straight to google and google the product or company name.
Unfortunately, there are not always positive reviews about the product or company and they will form their opinion before they ever talk to you.
On the flip side maybe they do read about the product and decide they want it and again unfortunately for you, they landed on another reps website and end up buying or joining them.
Never post or say your companies name and never post or show the product name. When you do a product post show the product but cover up the name.
Make them reach out to you when their "CURIOSITY" gets the best of them. You always want them coming to you to find out what the product it is or what company it is.
Try it and watch your customer and recruit count skyrocket.
Network marketing is a sorting business. Some will, some won't... so move on to the next. Don't get hung up on trying to convince someone. The ones that don't need convincing are the ones that will come in and get going.
If you want to make it in Network Marketing you have to be coachable. It doesn't matter what your background was before or how successful you may have been. Thinking you know it all or have a better way will not get you very far in this industry. Swallow your pride and be coachable!
Have a Millionaire Mindset...All to often when you are new to network marketing or maybe in a bit of a rut you will show signs of desperation. Never focus on making a sale and collecting the commission. Focus on how you can help your potential customer or recruit. Even if you are broke convince yourself you are rich. Forget about the commission! All to often in sales we get commission breath and we get desperate and your client will see that and feel it. I have found that when you don't need the money things come much easier. Get into that mindset and you will see the results.
If you are more fortunate than others build a longer table, not a taller fence.

If you do not know by now, social media is huge for building your business.
Everyday I connect with so many people who are successful and also not so successful.
But I know that I have one thing that I can offer to them and that is value. This is how I was able to recruit five people in a day from Facebook and Twitter.
My biggest tip for growing your business with social media, is find one or two platforms and master them.
“Jack of all trades master of none” can actually hurt your business when you are spreading yourself thin and trying to do everything at once.

Posture is the perceived position of strength you’re coming from when dealing with others. If you have posture, it means you come across as strong, confident and from a position of strength and authority.
Most people when it comes to prospecting, inviting, or exposing others to their business opportunity either have no posture or come from a position of weak posture or desperation… as if they’re weak and desperate for sales and recruits.
Take the millionaire mindset. When you already have money you are not desperate to bring people into your business. This comes across in your prospecting and attracts the right kind of prospects.
