While Hurricane Debby was making her way through Florida’s northern region, the team at Pet Paradise Jacksonville Airport & Dr. Connolly from NewDay Veterinary Care University teamed up with Florida Urgent Rescue, Inc. - FUR to provide accommodations for 12 shelter pups in Union County to stay until the weather was safe to return. 🌟🧑‍⚕️ VETERINARIAN HIGHLIGHT — Dr. Carino from NewDay Veterinary Care Winter Garden brought her passion for pet healthcare worldwide as she embarked on a mission trip to the Philippines last month. Alongside other veterinarians from across the Philippines, Dr. Carino spayed/neutered over 200 local pets, performed two cystotomies, and administered more than 100 rabies vaccinations across several provinces in the Philippines. 🌟 CLINIC HIGHLIGHT — Our clinic team in Apollo Beach is doing meow-nificent work in their local community by partnering with Kittie Corral Rescue, a local nonprofit that helps critically ill and abandoned cats. To aid in their mission of rehabbing and rehoming these feline friends, NewDay Vet Care Apollo Beach provides much-deserved medical care to get these cats back to their purring selves. 😻

Introducing our Boarding Dog of the Month, Ollie! He’s pulling double duty on his visit with us! He’s one of our Board and Train pups! Not only is he having a great time hanging out and getting in some playtime with the chaperones, he’s also sprucing up his good boy habits with our trainer, Tatum! Ollie is an active guy that loves learning new tricks and wow-ing everyone with just how smart he is! Thanks for being such a cool dude, Ollie!!

What’s a day of daycamp like at ? Why not ask a few of our latest guests? Ridley may be you g but he was a pro at making friends! I don’t believe there was a single pup he didn’t want to play with! Miss Mary was a bit shy and preferred to watch all the action from the shaded sidelines! Up next was Hank, a lovely gent that was very friendly to the other pups, but really liked it when he could take a nap under the cooling fans! Can’t say that I blame him! And finally we have sweet Honey! She was just happy to hang out and explore the yard at her own pace and take in all the sights, sounds, and smells! Whether you are excited and ready for action, or you have those “first day of school butterflies🦋”, we hope to meet you soon!

Say hello to Deuce! He’s our Daycare Dog of The Month! Deuce is a distinguished gentleman and H2O connoisseur! His refined taste in fountain water is why he loves hanging out at the splash pad! This cultured gent is always there to teach those young whipper snappers proper water-drinking etiquette! Deuce loves his time at daycamp and walks with a pep in his step every time he arrives! Usually our guests are a little more on the furry side, but that’s what makes these two so unique! They have enchanted not only our staff, but also the pet parents peeking in the window from our lobby! 🐱🐈🐈‍⬛😻😼

🌟 TEAM MEMBER HIGHLIGHT — Say hello to Gabriel Vasquez, our groomer at Pet Paradise Wesley Chapel who has recently added "Life Saver" to his work experience! While grooming Suri, a frequent day camper, Gabriel discovered a lump that prompted her parents to seek medical attention. Due to his swift intervention, Suri was able to undergo immediate treatment and was spared from potentially losing her entire leg!

Separately, Gabriel also identified two lumps on his Resort Manager’s dog during a grooming session, both of which turned out to be cancerous. Thanks to his vigilance, those lumps were promptly removed by Apollo Beach's NewDay veterinary team.

Thank you, Gabriel, for going above and beyond to not only give our guests 5-star grooming makeovers, but to also make sure they’re healthy and safe! 🐾💗
