What a fantastic turnout for the Renewable Water Resources Annual River Cleanup! ReWa employees joined forces with volunteers from Conestee Nature Preserve, Keep Laurens County Beautiful, Harper Construction, and KCI to clean up the Reedy River. Together, they removed an impressive 1,900 pounds of trash and 12 tires from the waterways. Greenville County Litter Ends Here provided supplies and hauled away the collected debris. The trash trap, called the WaterGoat, at Oak Grove Lake is holding this trash in place until the Greenville County Litter Crew come to remove it.

It's official - the Upstate Team-Up to Clean-Up was a smashing success! This annual event is a collaborative effort by all Upstate counties from April 1st to Earth Day. It saw a record-breaking year thanks to an incredible 2,168 volunteers! Together, we all removed a staggering 67,375 pounds of litter and 292 tires from our communities. That's a massive difference everyone has made for the Upstate! A huge thank you to everyone who participated! Your hard work and dedication are truly inspiring. Litter is a widespread issue that affects all of us, regardless of county borders. That's exactly why initiatives like the Upstate Team-Up to Clean Up are so important. By working together across counties, we can make a much bigger impact on the overall cleanliness of the Upstate.
