Huge Congratulations to Kim Bobo!

Keep Greenville County Beautiful is so excited to share that one of our amazing Board Advisors, Kim Bobo, has been awarded the SCDOT Partner of the Year for 2024 from PalmettoPride ! 🏆 This is a huge accomplishment, especially since it was the first year the award was given. Kim was undoubtedly the perfect recipient.

Kim's dedication to our community is truly inspiring. She's done incredible work managing SCDOT's Adopt a Highway program in Greenville County, which has grown to include over 130 groups, covering 260 miles of state roads. Thanks to her efforts, thousands of pounds of litter are removed by volunteers in the Greenville area annually.

Congratulations, Kim! This award is well-deserved.

We love seeing young people get excited about making a difference! These awesome kids joined their dad in cleaning up Roberts Road and were amazed at how much litter they collected in such a short time.

It's inspiring to see the next generation taking action to keep our community clean and beautiful. Thanks for being such great role models!

What a fantastic turnout for the Renewable Water Resources Annual River Cleanup!

ReWa employees joined forces with volunteers from Conestee Nature Preserve, Keep Laurens County Beautiful, Harper Construction, and KCI to clean up the Reedy River. Together, they removed an impressive 1,900 pounds of trash and 12 tires from the waterways.

Greenville County Litter Ends Here provided supplies and hauled away the collected debris.

Together, we can make a positive impact on our community. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Our Litter Prevention Coordinator made a "vintage" discovery—this 40-year-old beer can floating in Lake Greenwood! Can you believe it can take up to 500 years for aluminum to decompose? Let's do our part to keep our lakes clean and trash out of the water. Remember, follow the instructions: "Please Don't Litter!"

For more information on Greenwood County's litter prevention programs, contact Amber Nappier, Litter Prevention Coordinator, at 864-942-8705 or [email protected].

The trash trap, called the WaterGoat, at Oak Grove Lake is holding this trash in place until the Greenville County Litter Crew come to remove it.

A heartbreaking discovery during our recent cleanup with kids from the YMCA summer camps. While picking up litter, these amazing kids found a bird's nest that didn't survive the recent storms. The momma bird used plastic to build her nest, which was unable to weather the storm like natural materials. This is a reminder of the devastating impact litter has on our environment.

Let's work together to protect our wildlife and keep our community clean. Every piece of litter matters.

The Hawk and Tom Show are asking if throwing banana peels on the ground consider litter.

Now we know our followers know this answer, so we are asking you to show Hank and Tom how much Greenville cares about this topic!!

Hopefully it will encourage them to spread the word.

Is throwing banana peels on the ground consider littering?
