Do you feel like you have good mobility but still have trouble getting into a deep squat? If you have already worked on ankle mobility and hip mobility, but still have trouble with your squat, it could be a patterning problem. To help groove a better squat, dry this great squat repatterning exercise.

Do you have back or knee pain. A stiff hip flexor may be contributing to some of those symptoms. This is a great exercise to improve mobility through the hip flexors.

Does your back knee give you trouble? Chances are, that your glutes don’t fire effectively. This bridge variation is a great way to get your glutes to fire better!

Do you want to improve your ability to activate your core? The Russian variation of the plank is excellent. It emphasizes abdominal engagement as opposed to time under tension. If you feel like your abs are about to cramp, it means you’re doing it right!

Jeff had to has outdone himself with a 70lbs Turkish Get-Up! Jeff came to us several months ago with a torn shoulder tendon hoping to avoid surgery and get back to disc-golf. Following successful rehab, he decided to stay on as a strength and conditioning client. We now see Jeff on a bi-monthly basis to stay ahead of injury and continue to develop strength. We provide the programming and he does the work in between visits. He is now hoisting a kettlebell that men half Jeff’s age could not fathom. Bob’s figured out how to hip hinge! We’ve found that shoes off can help with feeling the the ground better to shift weight posteriorly. This is necessary to load the hammies (and unload your lower back). Bob’s been having trouble with hinging at his hip causing some back discomfort when lifting from the ground. Bridging is a great exercise to improve hip mobility and stability as well as core control. Squeezing a block helps co-contracts abs and adductors. The top of the bridge takes hip flexors through end range. It’s also a great way to activate sleepy glutes. We use the bridge as a prehab and rehab exercise for hip, back, knee and even shoulder and ankle problems.
