Lace up your running (or walking!) shoes, gather your family and friends, and join us in the race against cancer. The 17th Annual Run4Life 5K & Family Fun Run is a family-friendly event that raises funds for cancer research and support groups for patients with cancer, survivors, and their families at the Prisma Health Cancer Institute. Most all of us have been affected by cancer, and this is an opportunity for you to honor a loved one by participating and taking part in Run4Life. The Dunkin' Joy In Childhood Foundation is teaming up with Dunkin' to kick off the First Day of Summer by making a difference!

The Dragon Boat Upstate Festival is this Saturday, May 4 at Portman Marina in Anderson.

Our shared purpose is exemplified by programs like the Center for Integrative Oncology and Survivorship (CIOS).

Facing cancer can bring unique challenges, from physical discomforts to emotional distress. Prisma Health's CIOS takes a holistic approach, addressing mind, body and spirit to enhance patients' quality of life and reduce cancer risk and challenges.

Thanks to community support and Dragon Boat dollars, CIOS leads the way nationally in providing comprehensive care.

CIOS served 5,575 patients in 2022, helping reduce cancer treatment's stress and side effects by strengthening the immune system and supporting patients in finding a new normal. The team works with patients to identify the most appropriate resources and create plans that optimize physical and emotional health through all phases of survivorship.

The funds raised through Dragon Boat efforts make a direct impact on the sustainability and growth of this program that positively impacts so many in our community.

📢 Calling all volunteers! Camp Courage wants YOU to join our team for the upcoming camp season!

🌟 We're looking for individuals 19 years or older who are passionate about making a difference to volunteer as Cabin Counselors for campers ages 6-12.

🏕️ Cabin Counselors will lodge with campers and accompany cabin groups to all programming activities, including archery, canoeing, fishing, climbing towers, and more!

🤝 As a Cabin Counselor, you'll cultivate friendships within cabin groups and provide campers with an experience of a lifetime!

📅 Camp Courage Main Camp will run from Saturday, June 22nd to Friday, June 28th, located at Pleasant Ridge Camp and Retreat Center, 4232 SC-11 Marietta, South Carolina.

In celebration of Black History Month and Prisma Health’s Black Doula program’s successful first year, we’re highlighting our community partner, TD Charitable Foundation, who launched and sustained this special initiative in 2023. This initiative has transformed the birthing experience for local black mothers, offering essential support through every step.

One mother shares her journey: “While my delivery didn’t go as planned and ended in a c-section, I initially felt we wasted funds on a doula. But amidst the challenges, I realized doulas aren't miracle workers. They offer love and support, even in unexpected moments.”

Her experience inspired her to become an advocate, exploring new paths as a doula or Lactation Consultant. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the TD Charitable Foundation for empowering us to make a difference in the lives of Black mothers in our community.
