Active Day of Greenville

Today was the first day of vacation bible school!! Our members enjoyed saying the pledge of allegiance along with the Bible pledge. They also enjoyed painting canvas! We would like to thank Monaghan Methodist church and Lee road Church!!

Friday was an amazing day here at the center! We had a group of church members come and do a craft with the group and they enjoyed it!

This week has been a busy week! The members enjoyed making shapes, flags and animals out of the packing peanuts, also making butterflies and wreaths!!!

Bowling days are extra fun days here at active day!!! They love to see who gone end the game with the highest score!

Good morning last week was spirit week and let me tell you our members stepped up and showed out in a good way lol!! Thanks to everyone that participated we definitely enjoyed every moment!!

Last week was a fun crafty week… the members made jelly fish, crabs, went outside to play basketball, they had a ball… can’t wait to see what they have up there sleeves this week!!

Today they made sensory lava bottles did some stencil paperwork, and a trip to unity Park.

Today’s craft they painted twisty noodles and glue them in to pretty shapes and designs. They had a great time doing this!!

Happy Monday every one!!!!! Last week and today the members have been working on their spring time flowers and bird craft !!!

Good morning!!! Easter is coming up so our members have been focusing on Easter/ spring crafts. Here are a few of the things that they have done!

NATIONAL JOHNNY APPLESEED DAY
March 11th - On National Johnny Appleseed Day, we remember a man who made apple (and pear) trees bloom across the nation. The day celebrates a kindly legend who lived by sage teachings and labored to bring the shade of fruit trees across much of the United States.


John Chapman
He was born John Chapman on September 26, 1774, in Leominster, Massachusetts, to Nathaniel and Elizabeth Simons Chapman. Not much is known about his early life other than his mother died when he was two. His father packed up Johnny and his sister (an infant brother had died the previous year) and moved to Springfield, Massachusetts. His father served as a Minuteman and fought at Bunker Hill

Wednesday we took a group out to eat ci-ci pizza and then loved it..

NATIONAL COOK A SWEET POTATO DAY

Today our wonderful members had a Valentine’s Day party and they loved every minute of it!!! Thanks to the wonderful staff and families!!!
