Im like 3 days late doing a public shout out to my dear on her birthday. We go back lifetimes… through happiness & heartaches, stupid moments and some of the very best of my life (many of those were one amd the same 🤣🤪). Friends like family - hope you know how celebrated you are!!! ❤️

It definitely doesn’t feel like work - spending days with gorgeous textiles - mixing & matching & playing with pattern and color is the best way to spend a work day. ❤️

It’s just unbelievable how happy this little creature makes me ❤️❤️❤️ Pets are just the best!

I love spending these long, lazy days at home. Lingering in pajamas way too long with my favorite people is just what I’ve been needing. 💖 Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays, too!

It’s so hard to leave our family after a visit. We spent fall break on a whirlwind tour. We started with an Auburn visit for , a couple of days in Fairhope, a stop in Magnolia Springs before heading to Orange Beach for a couple of nights. We hit all the high points, lots of cousin time, shopping in Fairhope, boat rides, hanging out at dinner at boat ride over to Pirates Cove - We loved staying at Turquoise Place through .getaways ☀️

Im so excited about my new pillow. I consider it, and getting to work with my bestie such an incredible gift 🎁

We are having a great week over here during the kids “just hanging out at home all day” type of summer… shot 1) Monday- house almost burnt down b/c “someone” forgot to put water in the mac&cheese before putting it into the microwave 2) Thursday- “someone” used a plastic cutting board as a pan the oven to cook a pizza. In the words of the great Charlie Sheen, we are winning!

If you know my husband, Mark, you may know a few things he loves to do… grilling is a sport to him, he loves to fish and being on the water. He loves gadgets & being outdoors in general. What you may not know is that my man LOVES to shop online. He has a wish list that spans from here to Barbados (I think Barbados is maybe even on that list). He doesn’t really ever expect any of it, but he really likes to research products. He reads about the quality of the product, and pours over customer reviews before buying anything. I asked him to share his favorites of his “things” and I compiled them onto an Amazon shopping list. I hear sometimes people have a hard time getting gift ideas out of their men, so maybe Marks shopping habits might help around Father’s Day. 😂😉

I sold this antique center table a while back. My husband said he didn’t like the way it, along with the stuff on it, interrupted a conversation. As a introvert- that was the point 😂 I wanted to sit here & dream and look through books, not chat… anyway, I sold the table and ever since, the whole space is lopsided, it’s off & I can’t make it right again. I should have stuck to my guns & continued hiding behind the big ginger jar. Anyone got a center table collecting dust? 🤪

We are getting ready to paint our bedroom & get some new bedding & drapes… I’m struggling with where I want to take this space. Why is it always hardest to work on one owns space? I feel like, as a designer, it should be easy, yet I can’t make a decision. For clients, it’s much easier to identity their look vs my own. Maybe there are too many looks I love. Other designers struggle with their own home?

New to the site - RAJAFLOWER - it’s one of my favorite fabrics in drapes. Several color ways, hangs beautifully and offers great texture. Gorgeous!!!

I got to spend last weekend with my girl cousins. I was the youngest of all the Houser cousins. There were 4 girls in our family. (We tragically lost one of us a few years ago.) Throughout our lives, we’ve shared the best times together (and the worst times together). These two are so extremely important to me. We have experienced the same pain, love, history, secrets, the same people and there is nothing we would allow to distance us from one another. I keep reflecting on how lucky I am to have them.

Spring Break 2023… my favorite girl & I went on our first solo adventure to NYC. I’m not going to lie… I was a little nervous. It had been 15+ years for me, and although I used to go often when I owned my shoe/clothing store, I was aware, it just wasn’t the same as it was on my last visit. We loved - it was SO GOOD!!! You just can’t beat a show on actual Broadway!

Doesn’t this color palette just bring about thoughts of tropical plants & crystal clear water?! 🏝️
