When I moved into the commons, I wanted to design the furniture in the store to my exact specifications. I knew I wanted to use walnut wood and welded metal in a very minimal/modern style and this is what I came up with. We picked out the wood, had some friends build the tops and then my cousin and I bought the metal and welded the bases. I love these tables. As I move out of the commons, I’m looking to sell these beauties to the next person who can enjoy them for years. They are a little over 9 feet long and would be perfect for a statement dining room table or office table. I believe $2000 is a very fair price for each one. Send me a DM if you would be interested. This next round of billiam is about to be interesting. If you’ve been following for a while, I think you’ll really enjoy what’s next.

I’ve been spending this entire year figuring out the next steps and direction for the brand. My goal is to simplify as much as I can to make billiam a fast and consistent experience. Lots of changes on the horizon and that means a lot of deals for people who want to support the next direction.

A few years ago we were brought down to Atlanta to the North American textile conference on behalf of . Connor and I demoed the latest technology in sewing machines for a few days and answered questions from people who own factories from all over the world. What was cool about this experience is that it took 15 years of self taught education to be able to then teach on the highest stage. If you set your mind to something and focus for a period of time, you can accomplish really great things.

Right before Covid, we had a gentleman from Japan order 10 pairs of jeans and fly over specifically to meet us and pick up the jeans in person. It was one of the most surreal experiences and came at a time where I needed a level of encouragement to keep pushing forward. Seeing people so excited about the jeans we make enhances the experience on our end and right now is a time where we are feeling really motivated to make some art in pant form. has been a friend since the very beginning of billiam. We first talked on the phone in 2009 as both of our lives were changing and I’ve had the pleasure of watching his trajectory into so many ambitious pursuits year after year. This post is simply to publicly acknowledge how great of a guy he is and to thank him for being so supportive all of this time. Denim over time molds and shapes to your body. The fades, rips, and tears are all badges of honor for a person who put in the time with a pair of selvedge denim. This is an example of a pair of jeans worn daily for 3 years. Many repairs went into this pair before they were retired and now live in our archive of pairs worn to the fullest extent. This selvedge denim and many more like it are available as options to anyone who’d like to start their own journey.

When Cone Mills closed in 2017, we purchased their rare R&D library of selvedge denims.
