I struggle with cursing as well. When we question is something a sin, we should first seek God’s answer because we all know man’s interpretation will never be accurate. It’s simply their opinion and many will abate the question. When we are saved we are sealed with the Holy Spirit, and if we are feeding that spirit with the word, then it will let us know when we have sinned. We will feel grieved when we speak it. As Alicia Nicole referenced (Ephesians 4:29), then the word is so. “We are not to let unwholesome come out of our mouths, but only what is helpful for the building up of others according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” So with that being an instruction, we must be obedient, because disobedience is a sin. One of the main purposes of the Bible is to teach us obedience. Because if we love God we will follow His commandment. Not following commandments or disobedience is a sin. God punished the Israelites and the Gentiles for the same.

Cursing is not limited to our four letter words. Calling one a “raggedy bald headed snake” is cursing. Tell your children “you’re just like your daddy, you’ll never amount to nothing, you’re so bad…etc is cursing.

So it’s in the context and intent with how you use it, and sometimes the other’s perception when it is received. We know that Hell is a location, when used appropriately and bitch is a female dog when used in its proper form.

But when we’re out here just talking for gp, oh yes ma’am, it’s definitely sinful. There is a scripture in Proverbs, that speaks about people being simpletons and fools when they are just talking to hear themselves speak, and more often than not we’re doing just that. Cause we’re usually just rambling or talking big boy💩to prove a point with enemies or get it in with friends.

MY STANCE: CURSING IS DEFINITELY A SIN…It’s ungodly, and all things that are NOT of God is SIN.
