Winter Break Chromebook Care
If you haven’t been to the library lately, stop by and try to find Dewey. Dewey loves to visit Mrs. Sharp in the Chromebook office! Mrs. Sharp shared some important reminders with Dewey about how to take care of his Chromebooks over break. Students should adhere to the same tips. 🚨Keep your Chromebook in a safe place over break (not in the car!) 🚨Shut your Chromebook completely down so that it can install important updates. 🚨Make sure you know where your charger is. 🚨Charge your Chromebook before returning to school on January 4. 🚨Wipe down your Chromebook, including under the case. 🚨Don't eat or drink while using your Chromebook.

🎉 Drumroll, please! 🎓 Exciting news, seniors! 🌟 The Senior Superlative winners have been nominated and the votes are in. We’re thrilled to announce these fun categories now! 🏆 Check out this video that unveils this year’s winners. Congratulations to all our amazing seniors! 🎊 #SeniorSuperlatives #ClassOf2023

WHHS Families,As you may have seen, our school has been collecting toys for LEO Santa, in partnership with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office and local law enforcement. On this coming Monday morning, some students will be able to tour and fill the SWAT truck or a Law Enforcement Hummer with the toys they have collected. Since you may see law enforcement or the SWAT truck on campus, I wanted to let you know that there’s no cause for concern. Thank you for your ongoing support of our school and for helping support LEO Santa. There’s still time to donated unwrapped new toys for this drive. We really want to be impactful for families in Greenville during this holiday season. Please bring gifts to the main office before 10am this Monday morning. Thank you again.Dr. Carlos Grant, Principal

“I don’t want my students to have a job. I want them to have a profession, a career they enjoy!”—Ms. Wofford. Watch and listen to what makes this teacher so special. Teachers are special because they have the unique ability to inspire, educate, and shape the future of their students, imparting knowledge, values, and lifelong skills. Christina Welmaker (Wade Hampton High School and Bonds Career Center) Alumna joined Hannah Ward from WYFF News 4 to surprise and award Ms. Lisa Wofford with the WYFF News 4 Golden Apple Award. Christiana is the Sports Trainer at JL Mann High School. She attributes her professional growth and love for health care to the mentorship from Ms. Wofford. Salute to this outstanding TEACHER!! #LeadinglikeGenerals #GoldenApple

Youth In Government 2023
Who said involvement in government can’t be FUN!? Wade Hampton had an amazing day at the YMCA Youth in Government yesterday. Our girl-power mock trial team competed in two matches. First-time YIG participants Johnny Buck and Trinity James had their bill signed by the youth governor. Others presented passionate arguments as students from across the state debated their ideas and bills to make South Carolina even better. We are so proud of these kids! #LeadingLikeGenerals

Upstate Diversity Leadership Awards
We want to thank the Greenville Chamber and the The Riley Institute at Furman for recognizing our school for one of the Upstate Diversity Leadership Awards during the Greenville Chamber’s 6th Annual Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit. AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a program that targets students in the academic middle. They are hard workers who, with increased support, will go to college. Often, these students will be the first in their families to attend college and come from groups traditionally underrepresented in higher education.
