Please help us welcome the newest member to our Science Department. Mrs. Suzanne Terry will be teaching Chemistry and Earth/Environmental Science this school year. She is no stranger to our school and we are excited to have her on the team!

"I am thrilled to officially join the Wade Hampton family as a faculty member! With two of my children being Wade Hampton alumni and our youngest currently attending, this feels like coming home. I've had the pleasure of teaching many current students during their middle school years at Sevier Middle School, and I'm excited for the opportunity to work with them again. It truly is a privilege!"—Suzanne Terry

🎶 Exciting News from the WHHS Choral Department! 🎶

We’re thrilled to announce that the Carolinas District of the Barbershop Harmony Society has generously donated $500 to our Choral Department! This support means so much as we continue to promote barbershop singing within our community.

This summer, several of our talented Wade Hampton students and Mrs. Moyer had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Harmony Explosion Camp at Clemson University. It was an inspiring experience, and we are grateful to the Barbershop Harmony Society for recognizing our commitment to this beautiful art form.

Thank you to the Carolinas District for your support in helping us spread the joy of barbershop harmony! 🎤💙

In the interest of safety and efficiency, please only drop-off and pick-up your students in our designated car loop located off of Pine Knoll Drive. All other areas on our campus such as the student and teacher parking lots, the bus loop, and the side of the road are considered “Off Limits” for drop-off and pick-up purposes.

DO
🚗Pull as close as possible to the crosswalk near the Fine Arts Center. This will maximize the number of cars that can drop off at any given time.
🚗Drop off your student only in the lane closest to the curb.
🚗Respect the WHHS Faculty and Staff Members that are directing traffic
🚗Use the visitor spaces for parking when going inside the building

DO NOT
🚗Drop off/Pick up in the Staff Parking Area.

Dear Wade Hampton Families,

Please see this week's PARENT NEWSLETTER!

What an incredible start to the 2024-2025 school year! The first two days have been filled with excitement, energy, and a sense of community that sets the tone for a fantastic year ahead. Our students have shown up eager to learn, and our teachers have brought their best to the classroom. It’s truly been a joy to see everyone come together.

As we continue to move forward, we want to ensure that all parents are familiar with the school and district-wide policies that guide our daily routines and expectations. These policies are essential in creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all students. We approach these guidelines with consistency and dignity, and your partnership in understanding and reinforcing them is vital. Please take a moment to review the policies outlined in this newsletter.

If you are WHHS Alumni prior to 2006, you might remember the T-Court.

We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to our campus—the New WHHS Outdoor Classroom! 🌳📚 This amazing space, designed to inspire learning in the great outdoors, is the result of hard work and dedication from one of our very own students.

It is in the same approximate spot of where T- Court used to be with the original campus.

A huge THANK YOU goes out to Nathan Cloer (Eastside High School) who completed this project as part of his Eagle Scout journey. His commitment and leadership have given our school community a unique space where education and nature come together.

We can’t wait to see how our students and teachers make the most of this incredible resource. Join us in celebrating Nathan’s achievement and the continued growth of WHHS! 👏🎓

We will also share this update with students during announcements next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to ensure everyone is informed.

Campaigns will officially begin on August 19th, and we are excited to see our students step up and lead!
