It’s dress up week at DC! Students are allowed to come to class dressed in their favorite Halloween costume. Please make sure your child is able to dance in the costume they choose to wear. We can’t wait to move and groove to some spooky tunes all week long! 🎃

Grab your lei’s and flip flops, we’re going somewhere tropical! This year our annual spring recital theme is DC- “On Island Time”. It will be a fun and tropical island theme with all of your favorite hits. The recital date is Friday, May 16 and will be held at Furman University’s McAlister Auditorium. We are so excited for our students to show their friends and family what they have worked on all year long!

Bring a friend week was so much fun! We loved meeting all of your friends and showing them what we do in class each week. If your friend had a blast we would love to see them again. Registration for fall classes is still open, so bring a friend week could be every week if you sign up today! Log onto our online portal for more information and to register your child.

We are hugging our dance family tight during this time. Thank you to everyone who brought supplies to the studio throughout the week. It was amazing to see our studio come together to support those in need around us. We are open this week and have loved seeing our sweet students in the studio. Please continue to stay safe!

The studio will be closed today due to inclement weather. If you were planning on bringing a friend with you to class, you may bring them next week instead. If you would like to make up your class next week, you can attend another class time of the same level and style. Please stay safe and dry!

Who doesn’t love dancing with their best friend? We are so excited for bring a friend week all week long! Your child can bring one friend with them to dance class. Please make sure your friend is age appropriate for the class they would like to attend. We can’t wait to meet all your friends and dance together!

We are so excited for our adult class tomorrow night! Get ready to make some noise, this weeks style will be tap. Tap shoes are not required to participate. Hey DC Moms! It’s time for you to dance too. We will be holding a drop in, fusion adult dance class every Thursday from 7:00-7:45. No dance experience is required, just a chance for you to move and groove. Class styles will change from week to week to make our dance party even more fun. Next Thursday will be a free trial class, so come dance with us! If you plan on attending, please RSVP to [email protected]. Howdy, partner! Does your preschooler love to dance? We still have spots available in our little stars preschool classes for the upcoming season! We would love to have your little one join us for a fun-filled dance class each and every week. Our preschool classes incorporate ballet fundamentals, tap rhythms, as well as basic tumbling. We can’t wait to see our youngest dancers back in class on August 26!

Don’t forget open house is today from 5:00-7:00! You can register for classes, meet your teachers, tour the studio, jump in our bounce house, and enjoy a free icee. The sock basket will be on site to help you with all of your dance wear needs. If you can’t make it to open house you can still register online through the parent portal on our website. We can’t wait to begin our fall classes starting August 26!

We want to take a moment to congratulate our very own senior company member, LilyKate Barbare. LilyKate was 4th runner up for Miss South Carolina’s teen as well as the talent preliminary winner and one of the top five in academic scholar. LilyKate is a dedicated student as well as a loving assistant here at the studio. We could not be more proud of all she has accomplished this year!

We are so excited to announce our instructors for our 2024 AMP summer intensive! This is a chance for your child to grow technically, artistically, and personally. Dancers will enjoy an exciting and fun set of classes each day in various styles of dance including ballet, jazz contemporary, hip hop, musical theater, and tap! We are so excited announce that we have added a pointe class to our summer and fall class schedule! Our company students have had a great time getting their shoes fitted this summer. We can’t wait to be back in the studio to get their training started!

In honor of recital being one day away, we wanted to share a couple memories of some of our company members first DC recitals! Recital is an incredibly special day that allows our students friends and family to see what they’ve accomplished all year long! We can’t wait to support our students as they dance their heart out on stage!
