Happy National Black Forest Cake Day!! Had a fun time this morning at Fox Carolina being interviewed for their Access Carolina program. The wonderful was a great host and she got to eat all the cake when we left! DYK that the Black Forest cake originated in the 16th century in the Black Forest region of Germany? Traditional Black Forest cake has several layers of chocolate sponge cake sandwiched with our homemade whip cream and cherries. The chocolate cake layers are soaked with a Kirsh liquor. It then is adorned with more whipped cream and cherries. What’s not to like? Open till 10 tonight.

Happy National Tiramisu Day!!! Tiramisu as we know it was not created until around the 1970’s. This dessert was accidentally made in a restaurant called Le Beccherie in Italy. We make ours on purpose…everyday. 🙂 Open till 10 tonight. Buon appetito!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day! It has been a crazy busy day already and we’re looking forward to helping everyone celebrate tonight with their sweetheart. I don’t share many personal posts but had to share this about a good friend and a better human being. It’s been several decades since we played together but not only was he an integral part of our national championship football team but he was well liked and admired by all. This hits especially close to home for me as my father had a massive stroke the night before our national championship game so I know all too well the struggles and challenges that Allen faces. A big thank you to Tom Legrande and others who have been instrumental in caring for Allen and continue to make us aware of his situation. Thanks in advance for anything you can do.

Coconut Cream Cake… It’s as much a part of the American south as football on Saturday and apple pie.
