Recently, we were called to handle a complex biohazard cleanup involving an elderly individual who suffered from a severe gastrointestinal (GI) bleed. 🩺💔

A GI bleed occurs when there is bleeding in the digestive tract, which can happen in the stomach, intestines, or esophagus. This condition can lead to significant blood loss, and in severe cases, it may result in an uncontrolled biohazard scenario.

In this instance, the cleanup was extensive due to the nature of the bleed and the amount of biohazardous material involved. Our dedicated team worked meticulously to ensure that the area was thoroughly decontaminated and restored to a safe condition.

An elderly man had surgery and was discharged from the hospital. The following night, he got up to use the bathroom, and fell. What you're looking at is bile that leaked from the incision.

Another day, another sad decomp situation 😞

A terminally ill man, unfortunately, passed away by himself in his Tampa home. His body was left undiscovered for a few weeks until a neighbor realized that they haven’t seen him recently. They also noticed that there was a terrible odor coming from his home.

After police were called, his body was discovered and then we were called to clean up the decomp and decontaminate the room.

Please check up on your loved ones (especially those that live alone) to prevent these situations from happening.

Can you use these photos to determine the cause of death? 🕵🏽‍♀️

Often we are met with scenes in which we have to use deductive reasoning to determine the cause of death. In this instance, we are not completely sure what happened but it seems that it was unfortunately very slow and painful. We hypothesized that it could have been caused by liver disease due to the bloody tissues in the bathroom and feces-caked toilet.

The man was likely in his early 50s and lived alone. His house was in disrepair, and he appeared to be an avid video gamer and movie watcher.
