Little miss turned 1 and she was a joy to photograph!

There were some years where she refused to let me take her picture, but this year she let me over-document, and I’m not sad about it. Today she walked her elementary school halls in her cap and gown! I had planned to cry big tears at that event but they didn’t come so they will likely sob out of me when I’m least expecting it.

She’s so excited to head to Clemson, we are gonna miss her, and Jamie can’t wait to cheer for the Tigers. 😉

In honor of prom season, I want to share with you my favorite prom memory… the one where I matched my friend’s mom. We got a photo together, but I’m not organized enough to know where to find it so I grabbed these separate shots of us from the yearbook. All night kept “accidentally”calling me mom. Chris was a good friend, his big sister Ashley was a role model, Mr Spires was my (incredible) basketball coach, so Mrs Spires and I just needed a moment and memory together - ! 👯‍♀️

The last few years I’ve tried to do a better job of capturing my kids around their birthdays, but two of these girls have winter birthdays so we’ve waited until it’s a little more colorful. These three have shared a room this year which has produced some really sweet memories. It’s been fun watching their friendships grow. 💐

I met this mama when her youngest and my oldest were in elementary school together and now they are seniors! (And she was the queen of elementary school volunteering 👸🏻). This crew spends 95% of the session laughing with each other, and it’s just a lot of fun to spend time with them. 💙

It’s for sure a chance to get all your people photographed together, but also a time to get individual families, kids, girls and guys, and those grandchildren shots that mean so much. She’s the friend that listens and remembers and checks in. She’s faithful, kind, discerning, and always ready to lend a helping hand. She’s also the most fun to try to publicly embarrass. She had a birthday last weekend, and I’m thankful that God has seen fit to give us a friendship since the 1900s! Happy belated bday 🥳 PS-aren’t her people cute?!

I took the two photography classes my college offered, which meant my roommates were often my practice subjects and was one of those. This weekend she spoke at our church’s women’s conference, and it was very fun to snap some pictures of her walking in the good works God has prepared for her.
