Kate DiNatale Vintage
Welcome! This page is dedicated to my vintage clothing business in which items are bought, sold, and styled.
Probably my favorite new display. Every year I try to basically do the same thing in the same places really just to ensure it all fits. This year we changed some furniture around and I had the chance to finally put all my ceramic trees in one place. The lights I found in my teens on a buying trip with mama up north, the deer have been collected over time from all kinds of places, and the ceramic trees were very happy in the wild finds that didn’t break the bank. My newest olive green tree addition was found for me by . This beautiful green cupboard was spotted for me by and I had to have it. It holds all the kids art supplies, puzzles, and games!
My heart and soul has been gone 8 weeks today. I wish I could say one day has gone by that I haven’t cried but it hasn’t. Bear had literal and figurative very large paws to fill and it just can’t be done. I still say “I gotta get bear his meds. I gotta take bear out.” And Natalie occasionally asks where he is. Arthur shook for a long time. It’s been a long process to help Natalie understand that Bear isn’t coming back and I think the permanency of death finally hit her this week and she sobbed. I had zero intentions of having another animal in this house but when it was brought to my attention that this 7 year old labradoodle needed a foster home, we took him in. We all needed to stop feeling loss every day. What started as a foster situation turned into an owner surrender situation. This sweet boy came from a wonderful owner who loved him and cared for him very well but s**t happens and he realized he was no longer able to give him the care he used to be able to. He asked us if he could stay and of course, well, we didn’t say no. I struggled with the feeling like I was replacing Bear. I didn’t like the idea of him laying in Bear’s spot which ironically enough he won’t go near. Like he knows. I didn’t even like the idea of taking pics and posting a new dog. Like I was moving on. But I’m not moving on. I can’t. I’m just. Moving. (Thanks for that much needed mind shift). Long long story short. Friends. Meet Hodor. Scroll to see why it’s literally the only name choice. I don’t know if this was the right decision but assured me it’s never a bad decision to save a dog. And save a dog we did.
