A celebration of John's life will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, July 18th. The funeral service will be Friday, July 19th, at 11:00 AM, also at Wilkerson Funeral home.

It is with a heavy heart we announce the untimely death of John Babits. John, age 35, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday evening, July 12th. The cause of death remains uncertain at this time. Arrangements are being made by his parents and will be posted here as soon as that decision is final.

If you have a bicycle or incomplete service at the shop right now, we ask for your patience and understanding. We want you to know that the shop will be open July 15th-19th, 12:00pm - 4:00pm. After this time, it will be by appointment only through August. Sorry for the inconvenience, but all transactions need to be cash.

Neither of John’s parents have a facebook account nor do they know how to navigate the page. Chris Davenport, with Greenville Bicycle Company, has offered to step in to help us field any questions or concerns via facebook and finish any incomplete service you may have.

Well to update everyone, I’m starting to be able to talk a little better. Still can’t close my left eye, so I’m always blinking and eye watering. Trying to make it in today to work on repairs. If not today, deff tomorrow. I’m sorry, everyone. Thank you for bearing with me. See you soon!

“Just rode and flagged Browns Creek (noon on Saturday) and it is in great shape. It is sand-based so the rain this week has made it hard-packed and fast. There are a few very shallow spots holding water that will be gone after 1 lap (if they are still there tomorrow). We are by-passing the largest muddy area on the beginner section. Here are some photos from my ride.”
