Last night, we gave The Old Cigar Warehouse its final farewell party. We have just a couple of events left on the books before we close the doors for the last time, and as one last celebration of our beloved venue space, we want to share with you some of our favorite memories from our time there.

Events at Judson Mill | Greenville SC newest event venue Located just 5 minutes from the award-winning Downtown Greenville, Events at Judson Mill is the perfect location for weddings, corporate events, and socials.

To our many clients & supporters, we have some sad news to share. Due to circumstances beyond our control (and believe us, we pursued every avenue we could think of), we are losing our lease on the Old Cigar Warehouse. Our last day at the venue will be April 2, 2022. This news came as an absolute shock to our team, who had already booked events well into 2022. We held off on making a public announcement until we could personally contact every couple and client whose event will have to be moved, and now that we’ve reached out to them, we can share our new journeys with you!

Anyone who booked an event to be hosted after April 2, 2022 will have to move venues. We know how incredibly frustrating that can be, and we are doing everything in our power to make their transitions as smooth as humanly possible. That includes working with our vendors, transferring payments to new venues, and sending out change of venue notifications on behalf of any couple who has already sent out their wedding invitations. Our primary focus is, and always will be, our clients.

BUT–We have some good news to share, too!

Behind this dark cloud, there’s also a ray of sunshine. First, and most importantly, our entire team is staying together. The same sales team, coordinators, event staff, and administrators who worked to make Old Cigar Warehouse one of Greenville’s premiere event venues will all move forward through this transition, so if you are already working with our team on your event, don’t worry–you are still in good hands, and we will take care of you!

AND–not only is the dream team staying together, but we are gaining TWO beautiful wedding and event venues. We’d like to introduce the world to Events at Judson Mill! Located just 5 minutes from Downtown Greenville, our new location will feature two separate indoor event spaces, plus two sprawling outdoor lawns! The space will feature architectural details like 100-year old masonry, original timber beams, high ceilings, and oversized windows, with no shortage of picturesque backdrops for beautiful photography of your special day.

On a personal note, we are losing a venue that we knew, grew with, and loved. The Old Cigar Warehouse, known affectionally around the office as OCW, is so, so special to our business and to our team–many of our own employees, and even our CEO, had their own weddings there. We cannot understate how devastated we are by this loss. We are especially heartbroken for the couples who envisioned having their big day at the Old Cigar Warehouse, but will no longer be able to. As tough as this will be for us, we know it will be even tougher for everyone who has to change the vision they had for their wedding. We promise to do everything we can to make this transition as seamless as it possibly can be!

We are still saddened and disappointed from the loss of the Old Cigar Warehouse, but we are very excited about the opportunities that Judson Mill will afford. Our team is going to take the years of knowledge, experience, and lessons learned from Old Cigar Warehouse and channel it into this new space. We cannot wait to see what the future holds, and we can’t wait for you to come along with us on this new journey!
